GVVT West End Bus Fest 25th June 2023

The West End Bus Fest 25th June 2023.
A lot of people, myself included, enjoy Bus events but rarely think of all the planning, organisation and hard work that goes into putting it all together. This video of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust West End Bus Fest obviously only scratches the surface, but shows some of the preparation of the buses at Bridgeton Garage for people to enjoy travelling on once again, then goes onto show some of the event itself. We all know how good the weather has been recently, Unfortunately that wasn't the case for the West End Bus Fest. Temperature wise it was fine, but there was rather a lot of rain.
The buses operated a clockwise and anti-clockwise routes from Riverside Transport Museum, Broomhill Cross, Anniesland Cross, Botanic Gardens and Byres Road.

I was on the McGills Open Topper when the rain started and we all got absolutely drenched. Great fun though!

It's true that we all too often turn up at these events and don't even think about what work has gone on behind the scenes to make them happen, so a big thank you to all the volunteers, staff and drivers for their efforts, it's good to see them recognised and immortalised. 👍Just one complaint though, no shot of Wellington's Traffic Cone Hat this time - I'm devastated! 🤣

And to think that i had got the day off from driving electric buses to see old vintage buses and i didn't go. 21 years a bus driver and I've lost interest in all now.
