TJ, I live in NY and you HAVE to go to Chinatown's Oldest Icecream factory. They have crazy ice cream flavors like egg custard and durian. I believe they also have seasonal ice creams. I reaaallly want to see your reaction.

Halal Guys on 53rd and 6th. They have become a NYC staple. Also, if you are willing to run down to LIC in queens, there is a Michelin star Mexican restaurant called Casa Enrique. All things considered, it is relatively inexpensive, a really relaxed atmosphere, and I recommend the braised lamb shank =).

Also, it's not that "exclusive" but there's a really good deli on 12th and 3rd Av. called Heavenly Deli, they make this sub called Heavenly Chicken that's reaaaallly good
