-I had to add 6" to front and inside of bracket. So bottom looks like a Tee with the vertical riser to attach the 2x6 to. The leverage from laptop was tilting bracket into carpet/padding tipping the top more than I like.

***As an after thought upgrade, the horizontal 3/4" coupler, nipple and flange could be removed. Replaced with another piece of the 1" x 12" nipple with a drilled hole and nut welded in place for a tension knob. Then fit a 1" street elbow and pipe flange on there. Then when slid over the horizontal 3/4" pipe it would give you length and top tilt adjustment also. Then lock it down into position with the knob. You could also drill holes and use a pin to lock it in positions.
