Huge thank you to Taking20 and Web DM for helping me to grow as a Dungeon Master and content creator. And of course a huge shout out to Nerd Immersion and Dungeon Dudes for helping grow the community.

Thanks for the Adventure Game Engine shout-out!
Thanks for publishing it! Looking forward to doing more AGE content soon.
Weird audio at 1:15
Thank you for this.
A one system mentality has never been tried & true. It has always been considered a stunting of one’s growth as a role-player and particularly for a Game Master.
Multiple systems, multiple genres, and multiple gaming situations (different group, location, and include both convention and tournament play) was what Gary Gygax recommended in his books on Role Playing and Game Mastery.
1:03 Cortex Prime
3:58 Cypher System
5:27 13th Age
7:10 Sponsor WorldAnvil
7:55 Fantasy Age
9:32 Pathfinder 2e
Fate and few other TTRPG are missing from the video but that is fine.
I'm incredibly glad that you included Fantasyage! It's my favorite system in a ttrpg
Love your content, but why is no one talking about the FATE system man? I feel they aren't getting any love. I feel if nothing else it teaches you how to roleplay and can be adapted to any setting.
Many people enjoy FATE! Not being one of them, I can’t really say as to why Eric doesn’t want to promote it
@@LeMayJoseph I guess you could say that it wasnt FATEd to happen.
So many great games, I need more time to play!
Pathfinder, GURPS, OSR, Call of Cthulhu, the list goes on...
Cheers!
Some my personal favorites outside of D&D
Numenira
Star Finder
Ryutama
I can't recommend it (because I haven't played it yet), but I am intrigued by 5 Torches Deep, which tries to capture the OSR /feel/ of Dungeons and Dragons while using the simplified rules of 5e. It also has some great supplements for duels, homesteads, stealth, and magic items.
I have played it and it works especially for "Hit the ground running" to just get in and play. I will say that it is very gritty (something I actually like). The gripes I have with it is that it leaves a bit more to be desired in terms of advancement to the character. It is a great first time running a game, intro if you will. But it got "old" fairly quickly for a long term campaign, but that is from my perspective and definitely subjective.
striking while the iron is hot huh? >:D
I love pathfinder!!!
Don't you run an ongoing game in Genesys? No love for a system you're using?
I like all the suggestions, but I think dungeon world (or any powered by the apocalypse game system) deserved a mention and maybe the genesys rpg. BUT I get that especially with genesys don't need to hilight it to much since that is what your podcast uses and your probably getting some fatigue with the system
