Ahh these are some real good beats and I'm adding this to the loooong list of books I need to pick up and read.
I like there being a structure to this. As a player and as a DM I have found that it's hard to get buy in from the other side when trying to do this because the reaction is often "I don't want to plan out what's going to happen". This shows that it's not only ok but a good thing.
This is awesome. I'm going to think about leveraging this in our next campaign.
Interesting, I do something for my own system I am working on.
Heart is an amazingly-designed game with a fabulous dark fantasy/action horror setting. A great pick for people looking for a dungeon-delving game with a stronger focus on narrative and less crunchy combat (compared to 5e or PF2e, etc.). Would love to hear more of your thoughts on the game in a deep dive!
Considering the overlap I've noticed between the two systems, FATE could easily incorporate callings and beats as character aspects.
Please do a DEEP-DIVE on this game!!!
Please look at Beliefs in Burning Wheel!
