- Welcome to our first video! In this video you will meet our amazing daughter Avynn. Avynn was clinically diagnosed with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome at birth in Nov 2020. Avynn was dependent upon a Trach and feeding tube for half of her life. I hope you enjoy seeing what daily life was like raising a medically complex child. Avynn unfortunately passed away in January of 2022. Stick around to see more videos as we share our family's journey to find hope in the midst of life's trials.

It breaks my heart watching this. My baby boy also has lungs issue so I can understand your struggles. Avynn was such a beautiful baby girl. Hi Gabe and Hannah! I just wanted to say that I am impressed with how strong you guys were caring for yourlittle girl. I watched her story first and then went to this video. Watching her story first it seemed like she was always in some sort of medical crisis, but watching this video I got to see/hear her in some moments of happiness where she could just play and be a little baby. I cannot imagine how hard all of this had to be. Not to mention little Aven’s Strength in having to endure everything that she went through. I was a premature baby, born at seven months. I weighed 1 1/2 pounds and had about a 50-50 chance of living, becoming pregnant, all sorts of other stuff. I came out of it relatively unscathed though. I am totally blind because the doctors did not shade my eyes when I was born and the combination of the ultraviolet light to prevent jaundice and the oxygen they had to administer to help me breathe caused the blood vessels in my eyes to grow abnormally and burst. It’s called retinopathy of prematurity. I also had to be rushed into open-heart surgery shortly after I was born because there was a valve in my heart that pumps blood to the lungs when the fetus is in utero. It did not close so it had to be closed surgically. I can’t have an MRI because I have a metal clip inside my heart keeping the valve closed or whatever. But I’m glad to have seen this video.

So sorry for your loss,I can't imagine what your going through. I've never lost a baby myself, but lost Grandchildren. My Grandson died a few years ago,I think they said he was still born but yet the doctor had said he was born alive so he could have a birth certificate,other wise he would of just had a death certificate.

Your story is very touching, heartbreaking....no parent should need to learn such big medical terms and shouldn't have to suffer like you have.
Lord Bless you, your ability to smile gives me the strength to carry on with my own serious health issues....severe anemia,.EDS, Fibromyalgia, Crohns and other complex painful issues and then my husbands oral cancer, heart disease and now Covid for 2nd time, is fully vaxD, but losing too much weight and now looks like is something very serious like Leukemia, he's skin and bones, 130 lbs, 5'10"....its been a few decades long battle with both our having serious health issues. After watching your story and seeing your smile, I know others are having way more problems than we have. I love sewing and find ways to help others....maybe I should sew a few items, donate to those who need them.
I love sewing, creating and embroider things such as my personalized pillow cases and blankets I donate to sick children...is something I've done before I became too ill to do much. Blessings to you and your family...Sometimes I believe there's a fate worse than death and that is suffering, especially little ones. The next time you see her she will be healed....no more health issues, Praise to the Lord!
