Since the old comments got deleted: Abi's parents investigated when they saw her sitting all by herself. Turned out her friends just didn't want to be on camera. Usually she doesn't sit alone but with friends. No need to be sad about it 😊

I like that the interviewer always gives them time to finish their sentence instead of finishing it for them. Even while Abi was taking a long time to say the word “friend” and even though she made an F noise indicating that’s what she wanted to say the interviewer didn’t interrupt and finish her sentence for her. He just waited patiently for her to do it. I think when people do that they think they’re helping but I’d imagine it’d be frustrating to never be able to finish a sentence because other people are too impatient.

It’s people like you behind a computer that think you know everything when you’ve never even experienced anything close to this. The fact that they’ve raised 6 kids, all blind and majority with other diagnoses, to be so independent shows how much love and care they’ve always put in. I clicked on this video and was immediately drawn in by Abi, as I felt like I knew her from somewhere. After watching halfway through the video and hearing that their son goes to George Mason, I knew that I must have actually known her! GMU is roughly 20 minutes from my house, and I remembered passing by a small group of blind students every once in a while when I went to middle school. I distinctly remember how light Abi's eyes were in comparison to her skin and being quite a fascinated 12 year old.
Sure enough, after checking my middle school yearbook, I found both Jesse and Abi were in it! They were a year older than me which may be why I don't remember much other than the halls, but it's crazy that I went to school with them! Hannah: Of course. Yes it is.
    Chris: Why?
Hannah: Because in my world, everything sounds so happy.

It made me teared up to hear her say that, because it really just show even through troubles or difficulties, she's a happy person, and likes who she is as a person and what she enjoys. Being constantly surrounded with negativity of family and peers and bearing the burden of many people's stressors and sad/tragic events (openly so, I chose this and absolutely willing to stick by their side), it made me glad there are happy people out there : ) this video was a joy to watch, do not regret at all having it appear on my frontpage.
