I think that the wrongness and disordered nature of the characters relationships can be communicated just as effectively as if the x rated scene wasn’t in there. You could have a fade to black be just as if not more impactful because it leaves a slight mystery and an implication of the actual act as being too dark and weird to show onscreen.
