Consider that they were on the field for 90+ plays while the Miami defense only had to be on the field for less than 60... yeah I'm impressed at the energy the Gator defense, particularly the line, played with all night.
But that poor left tackle for Miami... that is a very difficult position and to put in a true freshman at that spot isn't fair!

Miami is brand new in a rebuilding process to almost beat and should have beat the Gators bodes well for their future. Florida should be concerned, they are a year further into their rebuilding and have an experienced QB. Miami will be a force in another year or two.
But they didn't beat the Gators. 4 turnovers and still pulled it out. All I heard about was that dominant Miami d line, well we know who had the dominate line. May be in 2024
Miami isn't in a full rebuild. Mark Richt brought in a couple good recruiting classes, and Diaz has been there for the last three years. So their D has literally no adjusting to do. And Diaz knows their personnel on offense, plus the Enos scheme on O isn't radically different than what they had before. Just much more effective. So no, not a true rebuild.

I know this wasn't the prettiest win but just think if this was any other team from the last ten years the Gators would have just folded like a cheap tent and we would have heard the same excuses as to why we lost. Not this time. Gators found the way to win and that's what matters. Coach Mullen has us in the right direction and we will improve in the next two games. Go Gators
For anyone who has doubts about SEC line of scrimmage dominance. Florida played 3 ACC teams during this season in which they recorded 29 sacks. That's right, 10, 10 and 9. UM, FSU and UVA were the victims.

Terrible tackling, bullshit penalties, countless missed holding calls, 4 turnovers, questionable/risky play calls, and a bad running game. And yet, somehow, we still pull out the W. A crazy game that I’m glad we could have in Game 1. Team is gonna build off this game and learn from our mistakes. I’m excited for the rest of this season. So glad College Football is finally back!

Glad we won. But this game showcases why Franks gave many in Gator Nation gray hair and ulcers. While I wish him well in his future and thank him for his play, I also ain't sad he's decided to move on. I like Trask much better.
both teams played on offense a bit sluggish, simple things like handoffs or pitches shouldnt be turnovers. but as always im proud of our defense GO GATORS. ofeense needs to fix a few things i wasnt proud of our run blocking but they did a good job of protecting franks it seemed like he had all day to throw. he just needs to connect more with our receivers there a still times that i feel he isnt reading the defense as well as he could but that will come with time.....(unrelated but if you werent a fan of either team it was actually a good game to watch )
Decided to rewatch this horrific game. Miami was pitifully bad and Florida just played to their level. I know Trask saved the season but Franks wasn’t it. And the discipline of Florida was terrible loved Mullen but he was terrible in the discipline department. Glad we got Napier!

No consistent QB poise for Miami and undisciplined on those stupid penalties both defense and offense. Dang every time I watch this game I get angry.
I feel like we are cursed with Franks. Everytime he gets benched or we try to go to someone else they get hurt and it's his job again. I want to see if Trask or Jones can do better. I want to believe in him but in big games he always throws 2 picks and fumbles either when we are close to the goal line or back up on ours. He was late on throws and he's acting like he was slinging the ball around the field all game long

The fact that Florida fans are happy about this win is more pathetic than Feleipe Franks' four turnovers and below average performance on the field. As Uncle Lou said, "Nobody won this game, Miami just lost this game a little more than Florida." That didn't look like the 8th best team in the country, Florida practically gave Miami the dub but Miami was just too garbage to capitalize on it. That's not something to be proud of.

His videos are always superior in quality of both content and editing, unlike others out there. He has been doing these for years and has all the Gator great sporting events. This was a great national spotlight game that was highly anticipated. The rivalry, new coaches, hype....its a big game....Gators played subpar at times, other times they played brilliant. Def not a "horrible, mistake filled abomination". In all kinds of weather.....

We don't lose that first fumble and this game gets blown open. 9:09 Grimes is wide open on the slant which I'm sure Franks was trying to pull the ball out for. Don't listen to all these Miami fans making excuses about how they lost the game. The only reason they were in that game was because 1. the 4 turnovers stopped us from putting points on the board; 2. We decided to forget how to tackle all of a sudden; and 3. We couldn't recover a fumble to save our lives. You lose a game and the opposing team gave you 4 turnovers, it wasn't meant to be bruh. Miami didn't create those turnovers with hard hits or strips...it was just poor execution or a call that went the wrong way (second fumble). Good news is we have a bye this week and all of those things are quick fixes. Anybody that allows us to get up 14 pts or more, with this defense, has just forfeited the game! #GATORNATION

Both teams played terrible. Especially Miami’s Offensive line and Florida’s defense. Florida won and that’s the good thing. The Seminole War Canoe is back in Gainesville.
