      Nah, we've seen enough of the guy to know he's not up for the job. He literally said after his second losing season that the team was right where he expected them to be. So you are telling me he told the AD before being hired that he expected to have 2 losing seasons in a row and he was still hired? If that's the case, both he and the AD need to be fired. He also refuses to hire an OC even though he is terrible at play calling. He's just a Sun Belt guy that blew his big chance. He won't be missed.

      @@hoofhearted1833 the answer is.......yes. LOL Culture is tough to describe, it's like defining love or success. However, if you have worked for a company with bad culture and then another with good culture......you can visibly SEE and FEEL the difference. With a sports team it can simply mean priorities are out of alignment between all stake holders. It can also mean the players do not value the work that leads to the bi-product of winning games. My guess is that going all the way back to Urban that different folks in control have had different priorities and that has led to poor recruiting and other issues. Add to it the rise of UGA, LSU, and UT and that puts UF fighting up hill. This all combined with a win or else fan base that does not have patience. It takes time and with NIL chaos this is the WORST time to change coaches.

    I never thought I'd like hearing Kiffin's name associated with UF ..... but I'm more than okay with that.
    I enjoyed the backstory about Jedd Fisch. I'm kinda surprised that he hasn't had more coaching success ..... but it seems like something's missing. Maybe he just doesn't have "it."
    You can put me in that part of the camp that thinks Mullen might have been just fine with some NIL help. But something seemed to just totally unravel for him after the shoe throwing incident. Hindsight is 20/20. That's why they don't make glasses for asses. Shoot .... if Will Grier hadn't flunked a drug test, Jim McElwain might still be there. After all ... he found a way to win with Treon Harris. Word is that McElwain was never comfortable with the UF way of doing things. I'll say that Mullen's teams seemed much better prepared to play than Napier's teams. And with a much smaller coaching staff and budget.

    Peek is correct. Napier's seat is only hot IF he only gets 3-4 wins. Other than that total meltdown of a season, Napier will not be fired. He has the full support of staff, players and most importantly the Athletic Department. Napier is re-building from inside-out, bottom to top. It doesn't happen in just 2 or 3 years. If Napier is fired, whoever comes in after him will be the beneficiary of what Napier has built.

      Keep blaming Mullen all you want, but at some point Napier will have to be held accountable for his failures. Dan Mullen isn’t putting two players on the field with the same number. Dan Mullen isn’t losing games by giving up 4th and 19s. Dan Mullen isn’t coaching the worst defense and special teams in the conference. Dan Mullen isn’t holding the team back with ultra conservative play calling, no situational awareness, and horrendous clock management. Mullen has been gone for 3 years. Napier’s failures are his own fault. He was in over his head from the start.

He, his manager, and Scott Woodward all confirmed that Napier and his agent was calling LSU asking for the job. He told Woodward that he wouldnt entertain another offer until LSU made a decision. He personally called the LSU athletic dept and told them that he had recieved the UF offer but was interested in the LSU job. Woodward didn't even accept his call, Napier was told by an assistant that it would be in his best interest to accept the UF offer.😂😂😂

    @Freetruthforever Před měsícem

    Stories about the demise of Coach Napier are greatly exaggerated, usually by "national pundits" who cover everybody and nobody at the same time. Year 3 in a complete program rebuilding project is when results on the field see a big jump and Year 4 is when it all comes together (culture, organization, recruiting, player development, team cohesion, comfort within and understanding of the systems/buy-in) for getting to the next level. Patience is crucial, blowing up the entire program after year 3 and starting over would be an epic mistake.
