In this video, I share possible reasons why your urine smells like fish. Urine usually smells like ammonia because of the waste products in it. Sometimes with infections or certain things you eat or metabolic disorders, urine can smell strange.
Asparagus is a common culprit for urine to smell off. I bet you didn't know that vitamin D and B6 supplements can also cause your urine to smell.
I go over some of the symptoms that you might experience with urinary tract infections or vaginal infections. Bacterial vaginosis is a common overgrowth of normal bacteria that can also cause fishy smelling urine.

I was told by my doctor not to stick with the keto diet because it is unhealthy. He said I should eat a balanced diet so I tried the *Agoge diet* and I am starting noticing less belly fat really fast.
The keto diet is NOT unhealthy. Cutting out sugar and carbs is NOT unhealthy. Doctors only get 9 hours of nutritional studies in med school and don't know much about nutrition to begin with. They think processed carbs via crackers and cereal is a "healthy snack" 🤦♀️

This video is very informative. I have prostatitis and have been dealing with it for a year I am taking tamsulosin and ciprofloxacin and as soon as I stop taking it the symptoms will come right back but while I am taking it the symptoms seem to go away. I have the fishy smell also and it is very strong and I can smell it whenever I urinate I don't have control of my bladder really and can never empty it. I have abdomen pain all the time and have had abdomen pain and entire year pain in my side the flank pain is constant and will not go away. It hurt sometimes when I urinate it hurts a lot when I am aroused or when I ejaculate I can tell my prostate is swollen I can take pain but this is a special type of pain that wants to bring me to my knees
You could have a fungal infection.

Wow! About what this Dr: says about the reasons of Fish smell like in the Urine (to me smell like Tuna Sandwich smell)
He says the reason number one is Vitamins and I was shocked to hear him saying that Vitamin B6 and Vitamin D is the number one reason and that is exactly what I'm taking lately, everyday, I take or (I should say took because I will not anymore) one Pill of Vitamin B6 and one Pill of Vitamin D, well now I will stop taking them, thanks Dr: Robert for your advices, I will come back here within a week to tell you if those Vitamins were the the cause of it.
I have had one kidney now for the last three years, and I have just lately been experiencing this type of odor in my urine stream. As a male is this normal, or should I get tested further?
Please someone help I started taking cranberry vitamins for my uti my uti has cleared up but my pre smelled like fish. What do I do?

My coworker often smells like fish. She was upfront about it and said that sense she is large, she has slight bladder incontinence. When the urine leaks on her "liner" it can cause a fishy odor. I had questions, but didn't want to be rude and ask her. Isn't there a pill she can take for that or perhaps a surgery. She deserves to work and is a kind person, but the smell is bothersome. She's actually a clean person.

My urine recently around August started smelling very very weird. It got to the point I thought I had a yeast infection or a UTI but I didn't experience any of the other symptoms like burning, frequency/urgency, cloudiness & all my lab tests came back negative. After watching this video I realized it may have been due to the CENTRUM multi-vitamins that I started taking around summer time once a day. However, I stopped taking them & my urine still smells so weird. If it is due to the vitamins and I stopped taking them why is the smell still there?

Dr Chan, I was reading comments, and gave me the idea to include my other symptoms, which is a lot of blood in the urine, microscopic, detest, always come that I have E. coli, infection in the take the different antibiotics that I get prescribed by the doctor, after I finish, may be 15 days start on low power to gain the smell is the main one

My 12 yr old daughter has a bad bladder problem. And it smells like fish. She can not hold it for nothing. She goes super fast and short too. The smell has been like this for since she got out of diapers. And only gets worse through the years. We always go to doc to test for urinary infection and it always says negative.

I eat salmon 3-4 x a week and I take vitamin D. My pee has a pleasant fishy smell. I save it and pour it into my garden and the vegetables thrive!!!!!

No. Only in the case of infection but that requires going to the doctor that will see if theres need of. He is only informing. No one can or should take antibiotics without prescrition

Have you try cranberry juices daily and u can mix with waters. Have u change filters on refrigerator, go see a urine specialist if not feeling betters. Foods,& diets do make a difference eat lemon 🍋 or limes with seafood drink waters w some lemon drink cranberry juices. Feel betters
Get a cup put in a handful of baking soda and your favorite body wash add water and mix it use that to wash your self and your whole body. It will get rid of all the bad smell!! Yw
