Samsung Galaxy S6 in 2023 - Still Worth It?

- It’s hard to believe the Galaxy S6 is nearly a decade old - released all the way back in 2015. Back then the S6 was available on all 4 major phone carriers - there were still 2 year contracts! Crazy how time flies.
The Galaxy S6 was a huge departure from the Galaxy S5 in some good ways and some bad. The good? A beautiful unibody design with glass on front and back and a gorgeous screen and improved cameras. The bad? No more removable batteries and no expandable storage - which was later added back in the Galaxy S7.
Is this phone something I would recommend someone use as a daily driver? Absolutely not! But if you’re nostalgic, it is still a beautiful phone to maybe keep as a collectors piece.

If you install a Lineage OS Android 13 custom rom for the Galaxy S6 then i think the phone should be more usable as your daily driver
You know if the S6 custom rom will work on Samsung W2016? Its a asian flip version of S6 (same SoC)?
Small correction: the S6 Edge plus was not released alongside the regular S6 Edge but latter that year along the Galaxy Note 5. In some markets like in Europe it was the only phone, with the Note 5 not being available.
Still using it with GEAR VR and this is the best combo.

My s6 edge's memory got fried somehow, really sad day for me since id only had it 2 years, got the s9+ that year and been going strong over 5 years with it

If everything else is OK and you find a cheap s6 with damage on the screen or the motherboard cheap on China you definitely can save it 😇

yes it's just fine as long as you install lineageOS on it, i have lineageOS19 on mine and that version EVERYTHING WORKS!
