There is a world of difference between how one person grows a beet, and how beets grow. It's a subtle distinction but the reason why this channel is so successful. Here we find out how beets grow, not how one person grows them.
This distinction is almost invisible the closer geographically you are to the person growing- but becomes larger with increasing distance.
My climate, even my hemisphere are opposite, yet this is the most relevant information because it relates to the growing habits of the plant, not the person.
Its taken me months of binge watching to put my finger on why this Canadian helps this Australian while other Australians are mostly useless to me.
So. Well done. See you next video 💖

I'm sooooooo glad you made that distinction Kerri, because its so important!! Its so true.....there's how a plant grows....then there's how each individual goes about growing it the best way they know how, often two very different things!

I somehow expedited the process. I had gotten bought some harvested beets placed in the fridge and when I realized I wasn't going to be able to make what I wanted with them in time I decided I would cut one of them up and put the cuttings in the freezer for smoothies so not to waste and then the other one I left whole in a jar of water to increase root production to experiment with growing methods as well as have greens... The one I cut up (everything but the root to stem spine section) I put outside before the last frost and had planned on putting glass jar over to keep it from freezing but a frost caught me off guard when I was dealing with some personal things and that didn't happen. I did cover it later after a few frosts and then removed it once it had started warming up enough. My beet plant is now 7 ft tall with 3 to 4 ft long flowering stems. So am waiting to harvest seeds. 😅

I would love to find a beet that doesn't taste like dirt! It's like cilantro, some love the taste, and to others it tastes like you are eating a bar of soap..Beets are the same, dirt or yum....I'm a dirt taster. 😣😆
