Years ago when I was a firefighter we got turned out to a fire in an adjoining station's area.
Turn out instructions were "Proceed to a bush on fire on Fanny Bush Lane" (in the UK the word Fanny has a slightly different meaning to that in the US)
Once mobile to the incident I radioed control to verify the address, all I could hear was laughter in the background from the control staff.
Turned out to be a legitimate address.
I found out later that the local council had changed the name of the lane as the street signs kept getting stolen.
True story .😀
Grove is also innocent , reminding one of a verdant pathway through lush foliage of bushes (oh hell).
Oh my goodness, the first house I bought was on Grove Lane! In the UK, it was a small narrow road and with amazingly cheap housing, I wonder why? I, now 48 years later live in a village called Bitchfield......

Funny enough, I was in Oxford this morning and had a walk down that lane. Now just a sleepy little cut through to the High Street :-)

Blimey that's something I didn't know. I grew up in a small village in Oxfordshire. Our house, a Methodist Chapel and the County Primary School was in Grove Road. Quite a big wide road, can't really see it as being a Red Light District though, they were mostly quite posh :)
