Many years ago, we were sat up watching TV, waiting for a late night boxing match. Scanning through the channels we noticed a programme called Vic Reeves Big Night Out and thought we'd watch whilst waiting. Half an hour later, we sat helpless with laughing, ribs aching and asking each other what the hell it was we'd just watched... Years later the reaction is still the same 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had a similar situation...but was scanning my little b and w tele in my room when i was 13..and i came across this insane programme wth mwntal characters..half an hour later my wed.nights changed forever and so was i..
I was round my then girlfriends house with her, her mum , brother and his girlfriend when the 1st Big night was shown, them, completely stone faced , me , in total hysterics, I had never seen anything that had made me laugh as much as that

There was a great documentary (maybe) ten years back; investigating how comedy in Britain had got to where it is (was). The gist of it was that it's all down to this pair.

The nightclub in Hull is actually a gentlemen's club in Eastbourne. I lived right around the corner, Cloisters Bar & Club is on the other corner and the pier is at the end of the road. Good times. Great upload too.

Thank the gawd's for t'internet, TubeYube and 2 months of post op recovery after knee surgery to finally catch up on my missing pre-middle age (mine I should add) Vic & Bob mirth, merriment and madness.

I watched a few episodes stoney faced. I just didn’t get it. And then suddenly I couldn’t stop laughing and I didn’t know why.

I lived in England in the 90's. I swear, we had a full on comedy renaissance happening. Reeves and Mortimer were a big part of it.

So much gold here. The introduction song, Fun, nightclub and trees. The irreverance and sheer absurdity gives it a timeless nature.
Tom Fun and Derek are my favourite. Sweetly hilarious yet alarmingly dark.

That scene of them trying to get out of the car is what most people experience in most supermarket car parks.
