One of the best 25 minutes of television ever made. Everything about this episode is perfect. I quote it to this day
😂 . Damn right. The best ever 🔥👏🏻
100%
Taxi!!!
True, but I think now I'll have to rewatch a few other personnal favourites, starting with Jen's death/"wuthering heights" épisode and also the épisode when Jen plans a dinner at home (the one with Catherine Shepherd ❤).
What do you quote? Willies, Willies, I like Willies?
It's no exaggeration to say that this episode is a masterclass on sitcom writing.
Yeah but no but bad man writed it 😭
@@darthkahn45A great man wrote it
@@MichaelM28 A titan of British comedy. No doubt about it.

When she turns to see Moss at the bar i was laughing for ages
I nearly chocked when i first saw this. Brilliant.
Lord, I can never get over that bit! 🤣🤓
Same
I’m still laughing tho
Absolutely priceless. I nearly died laughing 😂
Jen getting flabbergasted by Moss working at the theater and Roy being "disabled"... Is one the best moments in tv sitcoms.
gets me every time
I all heartedly agreed !
Hilarious how many times someone in our family beats out 'I'm disabled' in answer to most random situations 😂
Have to agree.
Jen's confused look when she sees Moss behind the bar is some of the best comedic acting I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of comedy acting.😂😂😂
The slowest chairlift in the world was a work of genius
Doing it twice was the cherry on the cake! 😆
His facial expression throughout was priceless.
One crazy thing I notice watching this show almost 20 years after it aired is how incredible their office actually is. I know it was supposed to make fun of IT people to put them in the basement far away from the cool people upper floors. But now, as an IT myself I would give anything to exchange my crappy open space for such a cool "lair" away from anybody using excel!
same thing!!! Agree!
And all the awesome vintage computers!
this is the exact moment when we reached the pinnacle of the sitcom genre. absolutely flawless comedy
Agreed. Some great characters as well.
And right now we have pretty much bottomed out.
As a disabled person I die laughing at Roy's whole "I'm disabled" bit. Such a great scene that just builds and builds.
for me it's the "leg disabled"
I'm also disabled and I find the whole situation hilarious!
acid
The pitch of his voice and he trying to get rid of all the staff while they are looking at him so concerned 😂...we don't go 😂
@@ozgxd when people ask me what caused my disability I have yo work so hard to restrain myself from saying "acid" in a squeaky voice 😂
I died when Moss became an accidental bartender🤣🤣🤣
Richmond did warn them lol
An ill wind did indeed blow 😂
The red haired guy being apprehended by the policeman makes me laugh 😂
Yea that’s where Graham L gets you every time it’s the little things.
Literally the perfect 25min comedy sitcom. Writers need to study this. Every scene and almost every line is gold.
Fun Fact: The actress playing Laura Knightley is Richard Ayoade's wife in real life.
I thought this was Laura Knightley.
Katherine Parkinson at 23:30, brilliant acting using just her eyes! In fact, she's wonderful in The IT Crowd and in pretty much everything else she's done, a really underrated actress.
had a big crush on her from this.

I almost died laughing. This should come with a warning.
This episode is the best episode from the best sitcom series, and contains the best scene (you know which one) in the history of television.
20:04 is the best moment. Of what? EVERYTHING: the episode, IT Crowd, tv shows, comedy...
First time I saw it I had to pause it because I literally couldn't breathe.
Life, universe and everything.
“Yes Miss” 🤣
I couldn’t stop laughing at this bit the first time I saw it too - hyperventilating even 🤣🤣🤣
This is brilliant. And her defeated "ok" afterwards.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this I stil cry laughing each time she sees Roy in the wheelchair then Moss behind the bar. Never gets old
Ya it so good
When Roy gets lifted up to the van and looks at the staff with his "disabled" look hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
His high pitched "disabled voice" was hysterical, as was everything else... 😆
"I thought I could make it work between us, cos you looked a bit like a man!"
The best line, in the best episode of the best sitcom.
the toilet guy is so underrated 🤣🤣🤣
I know right. His face is hilarious
This is probably the funniest tv episode ever made.
The crescendo of the ending of this episode is one of the finest pieces of sitcom writing ever 😂
I don't know what's the funniest thing about this episode, but Richmond's prophecy coming true is one of them lol
This is literally the funniest episode of any TV show I've ever seen
Every moment is perfect. Even when you think it’s over Roy did a 180 flip on Jen, that had been foreshadowed in the beginning of the episode. Then the way Jen calls the taxi the same way she did when she had to run out on Peter File in an earlier episode, flawless.
omg. i've got to go watch that dinner party one now...
The disabled ambulance driving off singing "I love willies"
Sir, can you keep it down?
absolutely one of the best episodes of anything, I always laugh so much watching this whole episode its incredible.
"How long have you been disabled?"
"10 years?"
"How did it happened if that is not a rude question?"
"... Acid."
"What are the chances of that happening?"
"Uh .. 100 to 1."
"You look like you could do with a drink"
"Whisky, please. double."
_Hilarity ensues_
😂😂😂
The only comedy episode I still have to laugh about madly every time I see it, even so I know that is coming now. Hilarious 🤣
The first episode I ever watched of the IT Crowd, and thank god for that moment. I've never laughed so hard in my entire life with a tv show than with this episode.
I’m queer myself and this is absolute perfection. Not overtly mean-spirited or sensitive to the people watching; it’s a masterclass in being respectful and SUPER funny. 10/10
I'm straight
I agree!!!
21:42...Jerome's "me legs don't work!", followed by him then hoisting the poor man out of the wheelchair, breaks me every time!
Truly genius writing, acting, everything. Katherine Parkinson always stands out though for me. The emotion in that one word "Taxi !!" 🤣
So funny how the staff is being soooo kind and sweet to Roy without realizing how he is lying to them😂😂😂
This has to be one of the most pant-pissingly hilarious shows ever to grace TV. It starts out good, and just keeps getting better! For some reason Roy's voice spontaneously becoming an octave higher the moment he becomes "leg disabled" just makes the unfolding disaster funnier still! 🤣 And Moss behind the bar.. 😁👌
first time around on TV, I did think it was that good, but grown on me, it's level of non-funniness, part are the best, the lafter track not needed, at all?
Probably the best episode of the entire series. I used to imitate Roy's "I'm a disabled" line countless times. Now I'm actually disabled and dying thanks to ALS.
Oh god that's awful... I hope you're doing OK through all this.
Leg disabled?
What a punchline
What are the chances of that happening ?

That guy is also in one of my favourite peep show clips when Super hans flips out in the studio
Doesn't matter how many times I see this, I absolutely choke when it cuts to Moss behind the bar. Got to be one of the funniest moments in British tv history, they just play it out so well.

I wish I could watch this episode anew. I have seen it like 100 times, but the first time was the best
"Well that's just bloody rude. Where's my Heat?"
One of the funniest, best written comedy TV episode ever. I always come back to watch. So clever, story, reactions, editing, acting - absolutley brilliant.
Everything about this episode is perfect. The acting and the writing.
I think this episode is FABULOUS, every value I've ever held is being questioned, and I'm loving it
a gay musical called “gay”
That's quite gay
That's just lazy.
It’s set in the eighties!
I watched this with my family when it aired (I had to really push for them to put it on!) but it had us all in absolute stitches and made my parents fans of the series immediately!
I did the same 👍
Jen's eyes when he says she looks like a man. And it's just as funny the 2nd time . Brilliant writing and acting.
I love Roys high pitched disabled voice haha.
How did they get in??...... I dont knooow 😂
They finally did the smartest thing they could do, make this free to watch so it gets more traction.
I think this one remains my all time favorite. Nothing beats the escalation to that glorious ending. I just laugh silly each time I watch it. When depression hits, it's either IT Crowd and/or Don Rossa's Scrooge.
I'm sooooo happy the IT Crowd is on CZcams!! Wish it had more season, really loved every bit of it.
By far the best episode of The IT crowd! The funniest 25 minutes! Perfect for a long trip to Manchester
Jen is gorgeous!
Even though she looks a bit like a man.
'Because I thought you looked me like a man!'..Poor Jen, must have been too much for any girl to handle for one night! 😭😅
7:14 Jen putting her hand out to hold hands 😅
Graham Linehan is a genius. I wish he still made sitcoms. Now we have arse like Mandy and Mrs Brown's Boys 😢
How are you??
I'M DISABLED!!😂😂
This is ultimate proof that Graham Linehan is a comic genious and does not deserve being so badly treated as he is now, just for speaking his mind. What comic gems have been lost to us because of this woke politically correct society that we now live in where people are too afraid to speak out because of possibly offending someone.
He’d be fine if only he wasn’t completely fucking obsessed with cross dressers for some reason
I've never laughed my ass off so hard the first time I saw it years ago (to make it funnier I was working in IT as a technician back then too :D). And I laugh hard every time I see this episode since then
This is the peak of any comedy content that has ever been witnessed
It’s 100% pure genius class perfection
A good laugh every 3/5 seconds all along
How can someone write something like that ?????
"How are you?"
"I'm disabled"
Gold! 🤣🤣🤣
leg disabled
I could watch bartender Maurice breaking all the glasses again and again for, like, forever.
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this episode it never gets old and always leaves me in stitches. Great comedy!
This episode alone is better than an entire show of new tv shows that are still on right now. Tell anyone who didn’t watch it crowd to watch this episode particularly and they will start binging. That’s how I first started to be obsessed with this show, too bad it’s not on Netflix anymore, but thank goodness the official IT Crowd channel are uploading FREE full episodes on CZcams. Thank you to anyone who give the idea to upload full episodes, you deserve a raise.
This episode is work of art. From start to finish is a masterpiece. The writing is so fucking good and the build up is just pure genius. The laughing track isn’t exaggerating at all, we literally laugh the same like them and maybe more and longer. This episode is a good example on how to make an actual funny sitcom show. Sitcoms nowadays aren’t laughable and the actors look like a fool for all the effort they did to be funny, it’s just come of as cringe. The show only has 6 episodes per season for 4 seasons and one episode of the grand finale on season 5. This show just proves that to make a masterpiece, you should emphasise on quality instead of quantity, just like Fleabag, only 6 episodes long season. If the it crowd aired today, they surely will get the Emmy for direction, writing, acting and show. Pure gold and masterpiece, but it’s still a cult classic and underrated. I hope by having full episodes uploaded for free on CZcams, more people can find this show.
I feel like this episode is a good introduction for the characters of the IT Crowd though, even though it was the first episode of season 2. They carefully shows the characters’ personalities and characteristics though. Anyone that hasn’t watch the show, can get a glimpse of the main characters’ characteristics and personalities though.
Like at first, we can see Roy, overjoyed for winning a lottery, but lost it shortly after, just shows how he doesn’t like to work and just want to relax but expect to get something like money from something easy, lottery. Then, when Roy and Moss wants to go to the toilet, Roy makes the “easiest” decision to use the disable toilet even though Moss said it is “illegal”, then he got in way more trouble throughout the night, just because he want to go his own way. There are circumstances coming his way when he tries to avoid the long hard road and do something easy.
For Moss though, you see how incredibly quirky, naive and nerdy he is. He would say things like dreaming to be in theatre but also doesn’t have the interest to even go to one. Then you could see when he was caught using the staff toilet, he just goes on and put a uniform and just work as a staff of the theatre because he lied by telling he is one and just do as he told. He even answers the gay man questions so innocently and naive. Also throughout the play, he points out every single detail about it like an intelligent critic of something he actually not interested in at all, he is just that genius and nerdy.
Jen is such a hopeless romantic and positive type of person. When Roy and Moss said that Philip is gay and points out all the signs and don’t actually want to date her, she denies it and try to prove that he is straight and into her until the very end of the episode and Roy and Moss are right. And you can see how Jen is like the big sister of Roy and Moss and need to take care of them 24/7, they got themselves in huge trouble when they get away from Jen even for going to the toilet and by using their own ideas and solutions without the help from Jen.
And also we could see a little of Richmond though, one of the greatest recurring character of sitcom history. Just sad that we didn’t got to see Denholm though, another fucking great character ever written.
The best episode of all time THE GOAT 😂
Everyone is saying how good this episode is but each and every episode of The IT Crowd has to stand up as one of the finest achievements of British comedy to this day. A joke a minute and very much every one lands. Cannot beat it!
Moss's fall at the end is perfect
Comedy gold. Nice surprise coming across this on CZcams. Algorithm success. We need to crowd-fund Graham to write a new comedy.
That was always my favourite episode 😆 the whole toilet thing had me in stitches, my stomach hurt from laughing. Great to be able to watch it again

This episode has to be the best of the series.
Even the title of this episode is very subtle double-entendre.
Best IT Crowd episode i've seen - definitely up there with Seinfeld's The Marine Biologist
The IT Crowd is not in my Top 10 Favourite Comedies. If it was a list of Favourite British Comedies, yes it would be.
But no matter what list it is or isn't on, this episode is one of the greatest things in comedic television ever made.
"That will pay for this month's rent....oh I've lost it all again" 😂😂😂 that's gambling for you 😂😂
I just love how a simple thing as going to the toilet gets way out of control. 😂😂😂😂
First piece of entertainment that had me laughing so much… I had to leave the room cause I couldn’t breathe.
I feel like Graham Linehan spent the first season learning how to write the show, and coming to the second season he had it down. This is pretty much a perfect episode.

This episode lives in my mind rent free 😂😂😂
This episode and the countdown one is pure genius 😂
Richard Ayoade's delivery during that party scene is brilliant.
My favourite episode of the entire show, I've watched this dozens of times and still have a great laugh throughout!
As 'The Psychiatrists' is my fave Fawlty Towers episode, this is my fave IT Crowd one. Both have it all.
5 years ago I watched this episode with my wife. She laughed about as hard as I did, then when to bed. This week, while enjoying my 50/50 time with the kids, we watched this episode together. First thing both of them (17 & 14) asked was "are there more episodes?".
I'm so glad that almost everyone who watched this episode agrees that it is nothing short of a marvel like seriously I have never laughed out loud so much watching anything before. I feel blessed just to have seen it
Would unironically love to see this show and sing “I LOVE WILLIES” at the top of my voice 😂
