Jerriod, I know this is an older video but, I just watched another video where a guy converted his 92 F150 drum brakes and he cut the backing plate off with a reciprocating saw and an angle grinder. Do you think that would be possible with the f350 or do you have to remove the axle shaft? Thanks
I just did this on mine. Exactly the same as you. What did you end up doing with the E Brake cables. I just don't see how to modify it to make it work.
@@jerriodmack3456 yup after researching that's the same kit I ordered. Did you use the springs that came on the cables or stuck with the ones on the calipers or both?
@@dustinp9732 I had to have a shop finish mine! I'm not sure which ones they used. But I have the directions from the company I bout the kit from now. I dont know how to attach the directions to the link
So i see you did the swap for rear disc....And i told someone else i was doing it and this is what they said...........What you think...did u have to do all this..?.....Thanks...Only thing i didnt get was the Proportioning Valve...got it from CP too.........> then it's a bad idea...disc brakes have far different fluid pressure and volume needs, that can't be supplied byu the stock booster and master....also the prob valve n the truck isn't tuned for rear discs either...
@@summitdave8782 no. Not until I install it. Once the brakes were bled it worked for a bit. But after driving i lost the rears. Bled the system again and same results. Just drained the master have to rework the brake lines to go through the proportioning valve so I can increase pressure to the rear
There was a leak on one of the axel seals. I figured I just replace everything so I would have to worry about it down the line. Good thing I did because I found the bad hub in the rear
1/4 inch I think. I'll grab a tape measure in the morning and measure it. Cp addict should send you one. And did you see my post about changing the master cylinder to get the system to work
Thanks for the vid! Looking to do this to support a dually conversion kit.
Does it work with a dually?
Im not sure. You would have to check with the vendor
This would fit a dually right?

I don't recall. I believe they were bolted on. Sry not much help
It was bolted. I could see the backing plate in the bed of the truck
Is the bracket/flange on the inside or outside of axles 4 bolt mounting location?
It's in between the bracket and the axle
@@jerriodmack3456 does it work for a dually as well?

So after I put the valve on I'll let you know how it stops. I haven't had time to complete it.

Depends on the Truck if you have a Full Floating no need but in some cases with a Posi-Trac or LSD you need to remove the pins in the Diff
I have several lsd and the axles just pull out.
My kit didn't come with a spacer but I need it for sure how thick is yours?
