Sorry about the bad hair day in 2014. Let me know if you ever need hair tips! ^SB
Gamers Nexus Lol, Linus will never have long hair... not up there at least.
Gamers Nexus SteveHairTips incoming?
Gamers Nexus your hair❤
Are you any good at nail tips?
RandomTech hes not gay and he actually has a wife lmao
The nails are back!!! Does Linus not bother to read his comments?
Everyone hated the nails. He brought them back?!?! I don't think he cares very much.
You are assuming this was made after the last one, these were most likely filmed a month ago, and then uploaded now.
Bob Lob Law Because they surely shoot and edit only one single video at a time, upload it, wait a few hours to read the comments to it, and then make all the requested changes before producing the next video. Terribly efficient.
Why are you people caring about god damn nails so much? It's completely irrelevant to the important parts, hardware info and experience. Are you people not techs? SMH.
ಠ_ಠ
K Doe Typical comment section behavior. In the end, only 50 people thus far have disliked the video, for truly any reason, whereas the comment section would make you believe otherwise.
K Doe because the whole point of those sections, and why they hired a model to do it in the first place, is to make it look nice.
I never knew how much I cared about hand models until these past two videos.
Its so distracting, its weird... I had no idea either.
Gotta admit, that "knocked my socks off" part really made laugh. :D
The webcam on this laptop is optimized for Omegle users, showing their junk.
The laptop itself isn't RGB? *I'll pass*
The screen is.... I guess?
Ares5933 but those bezels
ikr this is 2017 year of the RGB if it aint than get the fuck out
But are the fingernails RGB?
my piss is RGB
wat the heck is up with that dudes finger at 5:10
She is not a dude...
Dude is gender neutral.
MrOnihige could be
Marcus Christensen my fingers can do that.
is that not normally?...
Dazter Daz not really, i know people have fingers like that i'm just not used to it lol.
"i like my dell xps 2 in1 soooo much" .....Goes out and buys his whole office Razers
Probably because he loves them more. :D
Ding Chavez more like gets given them by razer for advertising
Nope. He payed for them.
You realise he was referring to the old one from years ago, not the recent generations?
He bought them (with a discount, yes, but a very small one).
Wait so you can drive a laptop?
It's a Convertible
ExoticXoZa i have 2TB and 3TB and the computer won't turn on so, WASTE!
Just the Harddrives out and then purchase a new computer and wala
ayyy
ExoticXoZa s
what is that profile pic and why do so many people have it?
Who are the new LTT members? Why don't you introduce them like you did with Dennis and Colton?
TheodoreMauros which new members?
TheodoreMauros Now that I watched the video again, I think there's only 1 guy at the start of the video that I think is a new member. All the rest are just Linus, Brandon and Linus' wife's hands. lol
Hands aren't Yvonne's. Possible a new staff member, at the least she's a friend of some of the crew.
+agentcrm well based off of the giveaway viedeo they have like 20 employees...? Am I missing something?
Twent V Well we only ever see the main 'old' staff member on the main channels. (Not sure about channel super fun as I haven't watched much of them)
Great review. Really appreciated the camera work and editing this time around :-)
Worth mentioning, the bottom camera makes sense when you flip it into tablet mode, or triangle shape (it goes on top!)
when your wife types it just looks like she's randomly pressing stuff
that's what anyone typing fast looks like
Best fake typing award
*cough* _important videos_ *cough*
Please stop calling her Linus' wife. She's not. Linus won't merry someone with that awful fingernails lol
Indeed that typing without bending fingers looks uncomfortable.
Why to women keep gluing those fake nails on... They look so abominable. And you can't even do any real work with them on.
Also seeing her type like that just makes me feel uncomfortable. My fingers hurt from looking. I'm serious. I get the incredible urge to bend my fingers right now.
exactly. Imagine how they wear contacts with those nails.
Just like how some girls like to put on ungly makeups, they think guys will like it but heeeeell no.
No full size usb port?
Nope.
You'll love the HP Spectre x360 more than this if you want a built in USB A port. It's treated like a legacy port on modern ultraportables.
I saw that video, and I really liked that. I wouldn't really consider it 'legacy' though. Legacy would mean that it's an old standard that isn't the primarily used interface, but IT IS. If the laptop is thicker than a USB-A port (which most of them are), then there should be at least one USB-A port on the device.
I'll agree to that, because plugging in something like a mouse should not require a dongle, and I don't of any that use a USB type C port yet, and I don't like Bluetooth mice as I've ever seen an ergonomic vertical Bluetooth mouse.
usb c is the new "full size", i'm a lot more concerned it's just a retarded type c instead of glorious thunderbolt
didn't you hear? Apple said USB A is a legacy port LUL
love the fantastic eyebrow movement towards the end. video gets A+ and thumbs up for this purely
I enjoyed the little gags in this episode. Kudos.
If I see another bruised nail...
Damn I'm early better say something funny to get likes
ZashrafTech _ it worked
ZashrafTech _ um.... im early that a nice joke
ZashrafTech _ ahahahahahhaha that was pretty funny my man
ZashrafTech _ you did it!
BlackaceXRogue360 thanks haha
OMG, thank you for pointing out the fn + arrow is home/end/pg up/pg down. I've hated not having those keys on my Razer Stealth until I realized this!
The new videos are amazing! Love what you guys are doing!! :D
Woo! Thanks for this, I was thinking about getting one of these.
Lucas Foster HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU 10 MINUTES AGO 0.O
Patrick C youtube is on drugs
Patrick C through the forums, they post a private link early.
Thank you! You reviews are awesome. You put a lotta effort into choosing your words. I'm a big fan.
Do you think anyone has ever watched an entire LTT video
Spodermen i do it nearly every video.
Spodermen I watch it completely.
Why would you only watch some of the video?
I think he's talking about the ads (TunnelBear and stuff)
I'm actually watching the whole video, I've never fast forwarded through the ads.
no....not that fingernails again
Hey, that name is great, Okay Linus?
Seriously, when you want to google stuff, being specific is great.
The only part i'd cut out is the 2017.
Dell XPS 13 9365 2-in-1
Make, Brand, Version, Model, Form-factor.
The year is redundant due to the model.
But seriously, do you want another Titan X fiasco?
Remember, your words carry weight.
The producers are listening.
I feel like the overall quality of your channel is getting better.
the color grading and linus's face in the tunmelbear spot was great 😂
First time ever Linus wore sandals WITHOUT socks! xD
You should do a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU gaming tests with thos thin laptops. Would really like to know how bottlenecked the GPU is with those low wat CPU's.
That test should include this Dell XPS 13 2-1, HP Spectre X360 2-1, Dell XPS 13 9650 etc.
best tech reviewer out there. good stuff man
PG up and PG down keys flanking the up arrow key works really well when navigating through BASH command prompt applications. When done correctly, like in some thinkpad models, it works pretty well.
but I don't want fucking keys on the rear of my tablet, I can't be the only one
Marcus Octavius windows 10 has a tablet mode that disables keyboard input
neonet 1 it would be uncomfortable to hold though.
Hand model walks into the salon: "Hi, I'd like my fingernails to match the black eye my boss linus gave me"
I love your guy's subtle humor attempts
knocked my freaking socks off!!! THAT WAS THE BEST PART!!!
Maybe if you cut your nails you could open it. That was one lousy attempt! 3:45
It's probably easy to open without those awful claws.
I liked the extra Linus-presence feel of this vid, especially the acting
I was upset when I got the inspiron 13 7347 and after a few months of usage it had touchscreen issues making it absolutely unusable in that respect, otherwise I really enjoy the flexibility of these convertibles and I train everyday lifting the laptop as my replacement weights when not at the gym. great review I definitely look forward to more of these!
"...sound quality good..."
Linus's grammar good
Audie Liem I know that it's a joke, but I believe he was introducing a new topic and summing it up in one word. "Sound quality: good" being the proper written script.
6:04 No Linus, they do need dedicated keys. Maybe not for you though.
Correct, all productive keyboards need dedicated home/end/page up/page down.
Yop, I like this keyboard layout, but I'm in love with thinkpad's keyboard. 😍
The B-Roll in this video looks amazing Brandon! Love the shot with that red carbon fibre-like woven material under the laptop. And the calipers measuring the keyboard made me chuckle but it was actually pretty helpful to figure out the size of the whole thing!
Really great video! But, I've got to join the hate on the fake fingernails... watching her try to type makes me cringe with that flattened finger posture. I don't know why they get me so bad, but they really do look awful and kinda distract me because all I can stare at are the fake nails that look like bruises. The quality of your videos has gotten so much better lately that I hate to see such a small aspect of them become a stumbling block; keep up the great work!
Love the TunnerBear commercial intro :p
The 'Home' and 'End' keys are incredibly useful for someone that types alot, especially useful for coding. Jumping to the start or the end of a line in one keypress can be a godsend. Would be a nightmare to see these made into a 'two-keystroke' function, however I see your point with the 'PgUp' and 'PgDn' keys.
now you need to leave it outside in the rain... again
I actually like dedicated page up/down keys, but not in the layout that they are right by the arrow keys. I like how they were on the older ThinkPads, up above the keyboard.
Awesome job man ! This is the best place for nerds like us!
why does Linus insist on those fake nails when demonstrating the keyboards . . . ?
That's a girl that works for Linus. That's not actually him.
Hey can we get that "linus-dragging-a-dongle.gif" uploaded...
Please and thank you...
This is the only place online I've been able to find a review of the Foldinatrix9000. At least I can rely on Linus for reviews of products like this!
Excellent video. Very much informative. Learn many things about the product. Thank you.
What about the new xps 15 review??
RGB monitor? *good enough*
And the socks are off! We've been waiting for this day! :D
Look at the Acer R13, i'm using it for two years. Perfect
I get better than 50 MBps on my laptop. I didn't realize most 802.11 ac devices didn't reach that.
keco185 yeah, not sure where he pulling that from, old envy 15 with haswell is still getting 65mb/s, my pixel can push 100 but it's probably bottlenecked by my 75mb connection.
Marshall Mohror you're talking about megabits, Linus was talking about megabytes.
***** ah, that does make quite a difference
This is what I got on my laptop connected over 802.11ac beta.speedtest.net/result/6031783795
i'm not defending Linus, just pointing out that he is in a warehouse, and in an environment with a lot of WiFi noise, plus he talking about pure data throughput speeds, and not burst speeds as done with something like speedtest.
Ugggh it's the creepy hand lady again -1
I have had one for about a year now and after a few bios and other driver updates, this is a really good little computer. Its quick, quiet and I usually get about 8 hours of media consumption out of it. It transitions from modes fairly easily and 99% of the time the keyboard stays disabled when you want. Before the updates, it could switch on its own if I tilted the computer too far when laying down and it could be inconsistent even in laptop mode, sometimes allowing the screen to rotate with rotate lock on. Now it just works. It is a good tablet but a heavy one as mentioned in the video. I also have the Wacom Bamboo Ink stylus and it works pretty well. I still prefer pencil and paper but this isnt a bad substitute for an on the go doodle sessions. I have seen a lot of complaints about some computers not working correctly and I think people should learn about manually updating drivers either thru device manager or going to the manufactures website and downloading them. Solved many problems with a little time and patients. This little xps 13 2in1 has been my favorite computer over the last year and has become everything I have wanted. However, should a quadcore (or other 8th gen intel) version come out, I will probably hop on it.
I really liked that funny looking ferris wheel hinge. I never got one because I was sure they would keep releasing new models, so I just kept waiting one more year. And then they stopped making it...
It just seems so awkward having the keys resting along the bottom like that when it's in tablet mode.
How does this compare to the Thinkpad X1 Yoga?
I always wonder why he doesn't review thinkpads
jan weihnachtsmann Because Thinkpads are made mainly for Business I guess
But there isn't a massive difference between the Dell/HP 2in1s and the Thinkpad X1 Yoga in terms of specs. Plus, theyre in a comparable price range
*Dislike for LinusNailTips :D*
My dad works for dell, he has an xps 15, it's a monster.
dell continues to make solid products with over all great build quality. Going Private was the best thing that could happen to them.
think I'll wait for the Surface Pro 5
Corey Watford I'll be waiting for the Eve V
William Holmes I can't believe Samsung and Google turned me into a chromebook lover.
Nathor W you got the Chromebook Plus?
Could you please get rid of the long nail lady, that shit makes me feel really uncomfy.
Always good reviews
I love the old hinge design.
I cringed at you guys using shoes on the sofa.
hi or hello
bye or goodbye
shakaBrah
I prefer hey
Oh, god, finally I found someone sharing my views on keyboards and their layout!
PS I also like big enter keys.
the b roll really took care of the distracting button pressing, for your dialogue aid, under the desk. good job
For God's sake, this "nail-work\manicure" in the ad from the intro looks awful. As if the woman have some severe nail illness.
Them FUCKING nails!
love the red camera quality!
The best introduction ever 😂 👍👍👍
That's probably Linus' hands with the terrible nails
i sexually identify as an attack advertisement
Can you do a build guide every so often? Like maybe twice a month? I used to watch all the build guides you had and now I'm about to build one and would love to see you doing more recent tech so that it's a bit easier.
I have the same model Dell XPS-13 9365 laptop. On the finger print scanner i don't use that anymore for security i have it set up for face recognition.
those nails.. and weird fingers
Please get rid of those nails
If you want a laptop with a Ferris wheel type hinge, go for the Acer R13, it's not as thin, but it does have Thunderbolt. I had the original 2014 model, the keyboard was not good, but the trackpad was excellent, the display was beautiful, it had an active pen which was mostly accurate, and cooling was good and quiet.
I want the intro from the other video. it was the best while still keeping the old one.
Yea but I don't want a tablet.
End of.
Can you please tell your girl employee to cut her nails.. Looks weird when she's typing..
4:35 I admire the attention to detail there
The thumbnail is normal for once. Nice!
The gross fingernails are back!!
i will stick to my traditional laptop, if i wanted a tablet, id get a fucking ipad...
surface; it's the same price and more flexible.
GormyGorm iPad sucks dude
neonet 1 i was making a point, i am not about to buy any tablet, the ipad was just the most well known tablet
I mean any tablet around the same price range as this laptop is automatically worse, just because of the lack of freedom and customizability of a pc
I think anyway, I may be wrong
Nice review. Quick tip Linus, use the webcam in tent mode so that it's actually lined up with your face and you don't get that weird angle. And I'm surprised you disliked the keyboard. I really enjoy typing on it, but with keyboards to each their own of course.
I love this LG Ultrafine 5k Display monitor ad
I like how quickly Linus folded over the dongle requirements for portables. I do think that it's a mistake not having more usable ports on these devices.
sweet. love the 360 yoga bend is awesome
In fact I really like the PageUp/Down Arrow KeyLayout on my Thinkpad. So much so, that I acutally use the PgUp&Down Keys! Have not used them before on any keyboard
I love how Linus stands on some kind of platform on set, i can just picture him stepping down from his batman stool or somthing
Those microphones sounded really good for such a compact laptop
Linux that original machine is still my daily driver, the Dell XPS 12.5.
I really like Linus videos..as it always comes with the link for purchase...where I could just check out the price
You were really funny in this video, good job. Did you review the new OLED ThinkBook yet, Lenos?
It will be really interest to compare the, old now, Microsoft surface book in comparison with those 2in1. I think that book is still the best option for performance and portability. The review that you had (a year ago) doesn't include the same benchmarks.... So, i would love to see performance benchs (and battery) for all those 2in1.. :)
