This Gospel is a kind of "Decoder Ring." If you figure out what the terms in this gospel represent, then you can apply them to the canonical gospels. Once you realize that the same keys unlock the canonical gospels as unlock the Gospel of Thomas, you do receive the power to reign over the entire world system, because you have unlocked all of the Scriptures and revealed that the entire basis for it is demonstrably unreal, since you now have recovered the keys--undoing 2,000 years of deception....

I know I am living up to this, I am so ripe I'm about bursting with light. Thank you Judgement! Thank You Father! What I know is being said, is don't rush the Sun. Let the the fire die and the material form fade. You are your own vehicle for the journey, already connected to the ONE. Do not forget your wings. Get away from everyone. Don't be a hero. You are your safe place while the nets are cast to capture your light. Nothing can hold you, will is ALL. May the body wither, and the corrupted pattern be destroyed. We are not beasts, only consciousness.

SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL: Relating to the Final verses of The Text: In Hebrew, Male does not relate to sex/gender, it refers here to Principle. "Male" in this context means Perfect/Whole/Righteous. Notice the scripture doesn't say Make herself a Man. It states "Making herself Male", which simply means a Woman must become Whole/Righteous/Perfect just like those other "Males"(Perfect Ones) in order to enter the kingdom of Yahuvah Tsabaothe. 🙏🏾
Give thanks. One Love & Christ/RasTafari Blessings. 🦁

"Virgin" also means Perfect/Whole/Complete and not what it appears to mean today. Perhaps the word "Ardanarishvara" gives a more expansive insight to the perfect balance that is required for the "salvation" and result of perfect enlightenment for both 'genders' equally.
That God is Perfect/Whole/Complete in this balance of Ardanarishvara. Samskrit being far older than Hebrew.

The Gospel of Thomas is probably one of the most important works ever written, which is supposedly a group of parables by Jesus. It is indeed, gnostic, to the eyes of the Roman Catholic Church, as it clearly shows that one does not have to attend their church to find God and to be saved. Any religion, who upholds the ten commandments, and they all do in some form, and does good works, will find heaven in the afterlife, once they know themselves. God, the creator of all, is in all of us, his spark, and we are all his children, the sons and daughters of God. As Jesus said, in this work, the kingdom is here on earth, and it has always been.
Also, you will notice, in verse 30, that Jesus said that the Gods of earth are not the creator God, who created everything. I'll leave it to the reader to investigate that, and let them come to an understanding of that truth, because Jesus is speaking of ancient religion here, which flies in the face of Judaism and the so-called Christianity of now.

      *****
The three major deities, from ancient Mesopotamia, which Judaism sprang from, were An, the God of the heavens, Enlil, the God of the wind, (who Abraham made the covenant with at Ur), and Enki, Enlil's 1/2 brother, who was the God of the waters and knowledge; both were the children of An.
The two or one, would be An and his wife, or God, the creator of all, which is the universe itself, and the one behind making it.
The Garden of Eden story, comes from an ancient Sumerian tale of An, Adapa (Adam), and Enki. Eve was not mentioned in it, and comes from another story about Enki, Nintu, and Ninti. The snake in the tree symbolizes the tree of knowledge, and takes Enki's place. However, Enki was not a devil, over the underworld, nor was he ever cursed by An in the original Eden story. The tree of life was a metaphor for An offering Adapa poison, where he would die and become immortal, with his soul being released. The knowledge that Adapa receives, was that man would die one day, separating him from the dumb beasts in the field. An nor Enlil wanted man to know that. Enki had educated Adapa about that, before Adapa had a meeting with An. This story is also where Adapa gains clothes. The story of Eve was from the creation of the Goddess Ninti, (Goddes of Life), who was brought into being by Nintu, to cure Enki's hurt rib. Ninti became Eve. The Ninti story was a pun.

      @craxd1 Před 7 lety

      Timothy Gibney
Yes, that they did; all the Gods including Anu. The name Elohim is derived from the Canaanite spelling of Enlil, which was Ellil or Elil, as it was spelled two ways there. Anyhow, they dropped the n for the title of God, where En=God, and lil=Air, God of the air. Enlil was the head Lord God (earthly God). Supposedly Assyria is where that migrated from, around the fertile crescent from Mesopotamia. The story of the Genesis version of the Garden of Eden is really about Anu and Enki, but Enlil comes in just a little later, as he sent the plagues and the flood. Eve comes from a story about the Goddess Ninti (Goddess of the rib or life).
Somewhere along the way, around or after 750 BCE, they had the war during King Ahab's reign, where they looked into what those Gods were and combined them all, including Anu, into one God. The reason why they did it, was that each God was a phenomenon of nature itself, from Anu to the lowest deity. The Torah was written to conceal that in allegory and metaphor. However, when one reads the Zohar, especially the chapter on Genesis, the truth is revealed. God is the all of nature itself, and whatever made the universe. God is the I Am that I Am, or the All of the universe (Ein Soph). That is the first God spoken of in Genesis, but then there was the Elohim, Lord Gods, whom were made by God. The Elohim, then, made man in their image. That is why Genesis has God making man twice.
Next comes the tricky part, because some of those Gods may have been real, and had natural phenomenon named for them later on. Which ones they were are anyone's guess. It is thought that some ancient kings were elevated to a God status after death, and had a planet, star, or natural element etc, named for them. They would have been who interbred with Cro-Magnon man, when they migrated out of Africa through Egypt, and into the Middle-East creating us, the dark haired people or the man child of man, who had an increased intelligence. They would have resided in the Middle-East before Cro-Magnon made it there. That is why we humans are a hybrid species.
When one reads the entire Bible, both the Old and New Testament, it is pretty much all metaphorical, especially Revelation, which they fought about having added as canon, and which the Eastern Orthodox do not preach from.

craxd1 You run amiss with the notion of the afterlife. There iz no such thing nor was that ever mentioned in any scripture. That iz egoic, and the ego can never understand the Kingdom nor enter it. The Kingdom iz not bound in time but iz timeless, eternal, and infinite. Nor are works needed to earn your place in the Kingdom. One can enter the Kingdom right now as it has always been accessible. It iz not destination based in time, that iz a mental construct.

Believe it or not if you ask any Church historian there was lots of debates and it was not until the end of the 2nd century did people start believing he was a son of God rather than just a devine prophet. I know this comment will melt many conservative Christian brains here but it is the truth :-) The passages about atonement in the book of Luke during communion were not in the early versions

What I got out of this, is that Jesus did not want Thomas to see life different. He was trying to teach absolute compassion, saying you cannot hate the tree but love its fruit, you must love it for all it has to offer as a whole. The same goes toward how we view compassion. We love people like ourselves but shun those not, this is wrong and leaves people blind to their own harsh judgement on others. Compassion for all of life and its many forms. That and being able to be free in one's skin and knowing thyself are most important.

I don't know about the movie, but the Greek fragments add some other words, such as "and he who rules will rest," which I have included in mine. There is also a burial shroud found in Upper Egypt which adds "and nothing is buried which will not be raised" to logion 5. That's a lot of variants for so few witnesses. My guess is that these were added later from other traditions.

My prayers were answered and I'm still learning more because I'm hungry to know more. I repented and still repent constantly on a daily basis because of the deceit, the bible states some facts but a whole lot is left out and that is why I pray to hear more but I had to share the message because I want my fellow brothers and sisters in YAHUSHUA to know so that you will pray to them in their HEBREW names because it is above all names. Well, I can kind of see why this isn't in the bible. Thanks for sharing the video though, I was curious about this. I have questions though, if anyone knows or cares to answer them. Is this Gospel of Thomas said to have been written by the apostle, Thomas? If so, when was it found and was it found written in Aramaic and then translated directly into modern biblical language or has it been around for quite some time and taken out of the bible at some point or maybe never put into it? I only ask because it uses the name, Jesus which, of course, most new testament gospels use because of translation and pronunciation changes over time. I'm not denying or affirming it's truth, I'm only curious.

      Joan.
The Gospel in Nag was less old that some of the synoptic gospels. Some scholar say that actually it might be much older and maybe part of the source Q (which is the common source of the 4 synoptic evangiles). But those are just hypothesis ... If this is true, it could be from Thomas. However Thomas went to India, so either he wrote it before, either it somehow came back from India where he died as a martyr. So I suppose that there are more chances that the gospel was wrote by disciples of thomas, as it was the case probably for the others.

A Secret metaphor in one of the logions is where Jesus says, "when you manifest the Image and the Light you will enter the Kingdom (Heaven). The Essene would disclose that Thomas is in fact a follow up summary of a much detailed Manual of Discipline which discusses the Divine Presence within (introduced by the Pharaoh Akhenaten). The Manual of Disciple talks about what the requirements were to the initiation of the Order but falls short of the “how to” in obtaining the presence. This is where Thomas completes the procedure. A secret one has to find o their own.

Hi. The four canonized scriptures have been edited. There were MANY more scriptures that weren't canonized. Why there are only 4, I do not know. But, if you're interested, look up the "lost gospels" or, "the Nag Hammadi Library". I think that's what it's called. :) there have been so many debates regarding these.

    • @SeattleGadfly
      @SeattleGadfly Před 10 lety +3

      Hi, cat77one.
It depends on what you mean by "Authentic". According to Catholic and Later Christian Dogma, no- it's not. However, Christ himself, in the Gospels, said "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." (Luke 8:17). The Gospel of Thomas and numerous other "alternative" views of the early Church have come into the light only within the last 100-150 years. These are, in fact, things which were deliberately hidden. This is not, as many claim, because they are "Evil" or "Occult" in nature, but because when the Canon of the 66 books we know as the :"Real" Bible were chosen, these books had things in them which challenged the authority of The Church (TM).
I personally wrestled with the Gnostic Gospels, the Nag Hammadi Library and other findings. I too wondered if they were indeed "authentic". Having looked at them from both an historic and spiritual viewpoint, I find them to tell a more accurate, more edifying and more profound view of Christ than the canonical books alone. They not only compliment, but in my view, enhance and clarify the other Gospels.

cat77one There are several versions of this Thomas Gospel on U-Tube. I listened to another one that has someone's interpretation in it, every few words. Some of the interpretations might be right. But I thought there were to many. Kinda like some study Bibles that don't give you a chance to think about the scriptures. But what bothers me is the other Gospels of Thomas have some big differences in the text. This is undoubtedly why this Gospel never became Canon. There are just too many versions of it. But it has some value. Just remember not to place it with Canon.

+cat77one 1st off it was rejected by the Catholic Church during the Council of Nicea. Reason being "... learn these meanings and you will not taste death .." which is Gnostic. 2nd the disciples of Jesus were illiterate. So how could Thomas write this? I will also mention Mark. Mathew, and Luke were not written by them either as only Paul could write :-) There is a debate who wrote them which scholars are debating. FYI many wanted the gospel of Thomas included in Cannon and a fight was in for centuries on this topic. I believe personally Jesus really did say most of these but I interpret this as a 2nd century Christian book rather than scripture. Very interesting stuff ... :-)

"Lifted up" in other words. There is an upper & a lower, so the lower would be the literal wood & the literal (rejected) stone. The Logos, or higher level meaning comes from splitting the lower from the higher in the New Testament, then seeing the rest of the Scriptures, (the stone) in it's higher sense (again-lifted up.) Since the stone was rejected & stumbled upon, it would represent the Scriptures that were rejected or that caused "stumbling"; i.e. the apocryphal & Pseudepigraphal books.

If you really look into it, the bible wasn't re-written though. Look into the differences between manuscripts and you'll see that most of it are not things that really change the stories or the message of the text. And some differences are things like for ex "Jesus Christ" / "Christ Jesus". Re-written bible is an internet myth. The bible has four texts telling the gospel, all in line with each other. Then you have texts (like 'Tomas'), never referenced or quoted by the first diciples and followers of Jesus who wrote the New testament texts. Most of them written later and all saying different things.

The Wood corresponds to the cross & also Aaron's Rod in the Ark of the Covenant. Splitting the wood would be like seeing both its higher & lower meanings; the lower images, into which the light, or higher-level meanings were ensconced. Lifting up the stone would have a similar meaning, in that it's be seeing it in its higher-level....

Intimacy and two becoming one being a large theme here ... Perhaps he meant: When the two become one "woman and Christ", A woman must see Christ living fully in her to the point that she no longer lives but Christ in her. Her mind has to see the change of the Son of MAN living in her. Just as all men have to do the same thing. Only perhaps being a man makes the adjustment in our mind is easier. What God made was GOOD - that is what Elohim declared - both male and female made in their image - Elohim. God does not unmake what He makes. Female was not wrong - sin was and both Adam and Eve sinned. Eve actually was deceived - Adam not being deceived ate wilfully.

I wonder if any of the Gnostic philosophers follow any of these commands. I think they just try to make money from the book and get adherents.

Well, think about it. This book promises an awful lot--like if you figure it out, you reign over the entire world.... I have done a video called "The Gospel of Thomas Unveiled" where I go line by line explaining just what most of these terms mean. The clothing is your religious affiliation, just like different denominations typically have their own distinctive garments they wear. You aren't being told to run around naked, but to break your bondage to religion....

Thomas 48) Jesus said….. When the male and female becomes one you will “rule” (have knowledge) over the All and will remove yourself from the multitude of mankind. Translators don't know what this statement means. I have deciphered the entire text and discovered the baptism of Spirit and Fire - refers to Luke 3:16. Anyone can read the translation but they dont understand the terminology.

Ea Wy I will tell you what the two into one means. The mind and the heart is what he is talking about. The heart is where it is easy to love someone, but the mind will not easily love. So when you can line up the mind with the heart, and can love those that have wronged you, then you will enter the Kingdom

why is this reader leaving out the Jesus said part when he is reading is he afraid to speak the name of our Lord? or is there more to him leaving it out? just really bothered me he couldn't or wouldn't read the full text as it was written. Guess it pays to read along. however now i find myself questioning the truthfulness of this video. my bible says we are not to add or remove from the word of God... right?

+Dreamylyn Moore You have good reason to be skeptical, but rest assured, in this case, it ends up saying "Jesus said", "Jesus said", "Jesus said", "Jesus said" and on and on. Because these are Jesus sayings. And you are right. The Bible says not to add or remove. Turns out, this is a book that was removed. Early church leaders executed the WORD, just like Jesus. But after all, Jesus = the WORD.

It is actually the Book of Revelations which explicitly states not to add or remove from it. It would have been difficult for Revelations to be referring to the entire book of the Bible, because it was not yet assembled -- the canon of the New Testament was not definitively established until sometime between 300 and 400 A.D.
Just a small point -- I agree with your overall message.

Dreamylyn Moore You do realize the scriptures were written long before the Church of Rome decided which scrolls would be included in the Bible? Do you also know they altered many verses , completely deleted some, and omitted many others? This iz not hard to find the evidence for it if you are willing to do your research. Why do you think there was a warning given against this being done if it couldn't be done in the first place? It wasn't your Bible that said it. It was written upon the scriptures of the scrolls. C'mon now you have to think.

smiles~ I Know it's the copyright thing and yet it's been violated because i don't think any of the writers are alive to collect on their royalties... so if you ask me they shouldn't be changing anything... so yes I was just thinking out loud lol.. i do question things and proceed with caution. some books have even been removed from the bible thru the years as well. we know the energy the vibes with in us it's built in we don't need a book to tell us whats right or wrong, it's kind of a no brainer.

Dreamylyn Moore There's no copyright on ancient works. The first copyright law wasn't even enacted until 1790.

It is not included among the gospel because Thomas never write about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He wrote the book according to his understanding... While the other gospel wrote as they were inspired by the Spirit of God

These are peices of the gospels with wacky ma made stuff added. This book isn't an early writing either. I studied it out. Leave these words for people who need more than the word of god....always learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth.
