  • "The Last Rose of Summer" is a beloved poem by Thomas Moore, set to the tune of a traditional Irish song "The Groves of Blarney". This is the piano accompaniment only, performed here in the key of F Major, for middle/high voice.
    *A Note!* I changed the accompaniment from what is in the sheet music quite a bit so that there would be fewer rests and a more steady beat (making it easier to follow), so I'd recommend just reading and singing along with the vocal line and words!

    Accompaniment to songs that fall more in a middle voice range: • Middle Voice Accompani...
    I will continue to upload more vocal accompaniment videos in the future, so please share with any voice students you know who may make use of them. Thank you!

    Tis the last rose of summer,
    Left blooming alone;
    All her lovely companions
    Are faded and gone;
    No flower of her kindred,
    No rose-bud is nigh,
    To reflect back her blushes
    Or give sigh for sigh!
    I'll not leave thee, thou lone one.
    To pine on the stem;
    Since the lovely are sleeping,
    Go, sleep thou with them;
    Thus kindly I scatter
    Thy leaves o'er the bed,
    Where thy mates of the garden
    Lie scentless and dead.
    So soon may I follow,
    When friendships decay,
    And from love's shining circle
    The gems drop away!
    When true hearts lie withered,
    And fond ones are flown,
    Oh! who would inhabit
    This bleak world alone

      I found this on imslp.org ! I believe it's an arrangement for harp, and I did change it around a little.
