The movie is a story by Banksy. MBW, as depicted here, is a character in the story. Think about it: When 'MBW stops using his camera', why doesn't the camera style change? Why would a long-term camera obsessive suddenly stop using his camera? Would any intelligent wife tolerate his lifestyle and still remain cheerful and uncomplaining? Would any clothing retailer tolerate someone selling 'seconds' at ten or twenty times the normal retail price? A lot of things don't add up, if this is supposed to be a true to life documentary about MBW. Nice one, Banksy.

so everyone is clear: mr brainwash is not banksy. the point of the movie is show how artistry is not given value in pop culture, instead its notoriety. millionaire art buyers dont care about artistry or deep metaphorical meanings, only artist or some type of pop culture notoriety since that can be resold at higher prices down the line ala stock market shit. so banksy having this guy play this "mr brainwash" character shows that some random dude who makes shitty art can have his stuff make bank just cus "OH HE WORKED WITH BANKSY AND OBEY GUY... HES A STAR FOR SURE" and this trickles down to the "common folk" as when someone has a big name, their popularity is assumed to come from that they are "good" so then everyone collectively agrees that there must be something good going on and not question it. this in fact happens with banksy's stuff, so i assume he got pissed at his diminishing returns from his art so he did this to mess with people. he in fact followed this same idea when he had a random street vendor sell his art for like $10 and no one bought it.
Thierry is basically the Tommy Wiseau of art

@@jaapelbers And you forget that Banksy admits his regret for saying that to everyone, in effect creating the monster that the Ron Jeremy lookalike became. He says he told him, takes responsibility for it, then laments he doesn't tell anyone that anymore.
@@nathen4twenty banksy did it on purpose. This whole documentary is an act, what dont u get? Thierry didn't even break his leg. That's fake, the documentary he supposedly made, with all flashy editing, that's fake. It's all created by banksy. Do u really think banksy would make this documentary when this was all true? That he would complain a whole feature length movie about a guy copying his style? No, it's all made up.

what if mr brainwash is really bansky?
My mate says that: banksy is a plant by the C.I.A - Merlin a.k.a G-wiz.
if you give a manic mouse a cookie...
so everyone is clear: mr brainwash is not banksy. the point of the movie is show how artistry is not given value in pop culture, instead its notoriety. millionaire art buyers dont care about artistry or deep metaphorical meanings, only artist or some type of pop culture notoriety since that can be resold at higher prices down the line ala stock market shit.
so banksy having this guy play this "mr brainwash" character shows that some random dude who makes shitty art can have his stuff make bank just cus "OH HE WORKED WITH BANKSY AND OBEY GUY... HES A STAR FOR SURE"
and this trickles down to the "common folk" as when someone has a big name, their popularity is assumed to come from that they are "good" so then everyone collectively agrees that there must be something good going on and not question it. this in fact happens with banksy's stuff, so i assume he got pissed at his diminishing returns from his art so he did this to mess with people.
he in fact followed this same idea when he had a random street vendor sell his art for like $10 and no one bought it.
mocomuseum.com has a exposition about Banksy in Amsterdam, Rembrandsplein, I saw today, sep, 18, 2016
Depressing how so many pretentious people can buy into this fraud
Doing a project inspired by banksy and i have HIGH expectations
Great documentary about a movement I really dislike.
Now how do I get ahold of one of those Lady Diana bills?
