- Nychos is an illustrator, Urban Art- and Graffiti artist who became known with his street concept RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT (REM) 10 years ago. The icon of the movement is a white rabbit, which has been breeding since then and has been popping up in the streets all over the globe for the past decade. This is exactly what Nychos thrives for - he travels the world to spread his art and his REM concept. Within the last two years Nychos was accompanied by filmmaker Christian Fischer who recorded these journeys to create a full lenght movie. ”The Deepest Depths Of The Burrow” is a documentary about art, lifestyle and subculture. The movie captures the experiences of Nychos and other members of RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT within the last several years. Exceeding the Austrian scene, they flew from Berlin to San Francisco to Copenhagen to Hawaii and many more places to visit artists who all provide a unique view into their (street) culture - They lead Nychos through the streets of their home cities and show them the deepest depths of their burrows. ”Travel to paint, paint to travel” is the motto, which runs like a golden thread throughout the entire movie. Words, which catch the spirit of RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT. ”The Deepest Depths Of The Burrow” shows images which highlight the contrasts between Urban Art and Graffiti from various angles and captures the mutual passion for Urban Art in an unique way.

Glorified vandalism is still vandalism.
Boqoreh they asked and were aloud to... I don’t see the vandalism there buddy.
I’m an artist, and i’ve always really admired graffiti art especially- i love finding the small stuff hidden around my town. I want to make a comic that really draws out the crucial depth graffiti brings out in cities, (and maybe i wish i had the balls to actually go out and do my own stuff) so these types of videos are just double the inspiration for me
If you ever come to Dallas hit me up there's cool a cool spot all you can paint it's super dope . It's a legal spot
How's the comic coming?

you ever stop and wonder if the old masters like michelangelo used to paint on the walls? I have a feeling their most expressive works were covered over
No
Well, Da Vinci definetely did paint on walls. But his paintings weren't covered :)
Fresco
@@almarc No, but one of them did have a bloody great door cut through the middle of it
Goya did
Thnx for this amazing footage. The narrative the shots, edits, sound, music. Top notch. The Aerosol must be televised.
everyone always wants to hate on the D. Thanks for showing how great it is. Detroit takes in the worlds artists and hard workers, run down souls and no gooders. we love them all, and together they will make a better place to live than most in america. detroit is a great place to be. RIP DIlla and RIP NEKST
Word!
Mitchgill12 So many amazing artists from there, and music is still pumping out like it has been for decades, it's just more underground like Griz and Gramatik. Who I know has been blowing up, I just saw Griz at Red rocks in Denver a month ago. Let me in on some good hometown music, and I will do the same. (:
Say that shit!!!👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
Is Nekst no out of Birmingham Alabama?

Never say I can't draw like that anyone can do it all you gotta remember is they were all toys at one point but practice and dedication takes you a long way
can confirm
I can confirm its been a year and while steel not being that good am at an ok point always room for improvement
I was like 20 minutes into this when I realised that I already saw some of those pieces - Great Documentary and the accents really made me laugh - as a fellow german native speaker.
Detriot looks amazing for doing graffiti art.
Definitly a blast if youre just stopping through. Going kind of hipster now though.
@@ironlakcdn7349 eh, i welcome the change. Hipsters bring some cool shit with them
@@ironlakcdn7349 yeah, I know that gallery manager Jesse and have painted some walls he's put together in some areas on the northwest side. They're pretentious as fuck lol. Like definition of true hipster shit. I didn't even know detroit was in this doc. It's sad they don't highlight any real local writers lmao. Just "LOOK WHAT I BROUGHT NYCHOS" 🤣
That's two of my crew members at 31:00
It's also a felony now to paint illegally there. Rich people bringing in a ton of money now
I agree with your comment, Detroit is an awesome place to make gritty badarse graffiti.
I want to see more graffiti documentaries in the future
Mind blown!!!! Wow!!!

51:22 yeeeeeeees.!!! i know who you talking about meeeen.!!!! yeeeees.!!!
Getting up
What camera did you use for the dark scenes?
This documentary not only misses the mark on the origin of the culture (like one of the artists claimed that urban art started in the mid-90s). Yerp, Style Wars is still the documentary to watch.
im pretty sure this is more to document the artist's journey across america than to be only about graffiti
Writing is the 1st reason why i wished i lived near a metropolitan city. Get up! Stay up! Keep em rackin!

12:56 isn't that he is stepping on like, lethal ? (High voltage)

All this legal shit may be very pretty, BUT it is missing the essence of true gritty illegal graffiti.
Exactly. They didn't show any of the REAL shit here in Detroit.
@@hairystyles4212 art student stuff really. Not bombing at all. Unless you doing traditional throwies just to wreck shit, it’s all just color by numbers at this point. And I’ve been writing since ‘83.
Thst is A Veryy Great Point you got there Douchebagout.! (;
Seems like Roger Gastman produced this....got his vibe all over it.
who did these 4 color sketches at 27:44 ?
So much respect for these artists. They've inspired me to start my own sticker art. Thank you!!

I would love to do this in my city. I live in the Bronx and I see places all over White Plains Road where i could paint some really nice shit but I'm not one to look for trouble either and there are always NYPD everywhere. I'm gonna loom into how i could get some street space to pal t legally if thats at all possible. 😎
Just get a can of paint or some paint markers and go crazy, I'm from Brooklyn so I know how it is but if you play your cards right and avoid doing stupid shit then you won't get caught.
@@jeremiahtorres9984 you gave me a good idea. I think I'm gonna go buy some of those paint markers and just carry them in a purse so i can pull them out quickly when I can find a cool spot to paint on the street. Think I'm gonna go out walking around tonight to check it out. Have you or anyone you know ever got caught painting on the street? Just curious what the punishmemt might be if anything ever goes wrong.
@@treschapman3754 I'm not gonna lie to you, nobody is not gonna be suspicious of you just based off the fact that you are a woman. I've never gotten caught and that's because I'm real careful and I don't play and stand around looking suspicious. I paint and get out as fast as I can without drawing any attention, good luck painting just be careful if you see any other writers because they will try and Rob or worse, most of them are drug addict dickheads. If the police catch you then run if you think you can but if not then they will probably toss your can and tell you to fuck off or paint your hands, if they do arrest you the judge will have you do community service. If you are a known writer then they would probably give you 2 years jail time but I wouldn't worry, never talk or admit to anything and ask for your lawyer and you will be okay.
Jeremiah Torres thank you. I will keep everything you said in mind. You have neen more than helpful.

Wait till the end around 1:38:32 and hear one of the most dopiest and invigorating speeches ever. Real inspirational makes me want to go right out and punk rock all over my skate board while huffing cans, breaking more than all the rules. I wanna break the system too with my Iron Maiden t-shit on and get invited to all the cities painting pretty murals life on the edge
Not much Graffiti ~
CAN CONTROL
Detroit has so many problems that Graffiti isn’t one of them.
It is now. It's a felony and they have a task force it's fucking ridiculous.
Philadelphia is selling poison out in the open like tonnages. They combing after us ehhhhhh more then likely not. They’ll come to jab u with the vaccine first. SYLD
I'm a professional videographer based in the south of England in Andover, If there are any street artists that would like to produce a free documentary on street art please get in touch! - I'm looking to promote this art in a creative way and need a video project to get myself involved with during my spare time.
59:11 Luckiest man in the world
Curtis have tar black insted of blood in the body haha
Didnt Nekst die?
Most people who hate on legal graffiti are just train painters who are mad that someone can paint something other than throw ups and squiggles letters.
lol nah not at all
I'm not sure if graffitti at night is necessary in Helsinki or whatever..... Doesn't everyone just smile and wave if you make art over there?
Graffiti has been around since caveman days look what happened to them ! The sings of impending Dystopia of humanity spray-painted on the walls.
These guys get up early, gather their equipment and hit the streets. Put that energy into building up society , not destroying it. Do your creativity on canvas like the rest of us. Cities spend millions on buffing your work anyhow
