- Update: I was getting very close to the end of my Amazon Return window when the headset started to play up. It had difficulty connecting to PC, eye tracking became intermittent and the latest firmware update completely messed up the sound quality. I decided it's probably for the best if it got returned rather than fault find over email with Pimax so I returned it. I have no idea where to go next. I liked it but spent more time fucking about with trying to get it running right than I did playing games with it.
Next stop is Varjo Aero.
Loving this headset. It's perfect for AMS2. Still trying to dial in settings. Currently running 3820x4324 in SteamVR with MSAA low and the rest of the settings on med/low. Sharpening is enabled in the JSON file which takes up a fair chunk of GPU processing. Trying to decide if sharpening and MSAA is better than more resolution and regular FXAA?
If you have some nice settings which work could you let me know, please?
I think the next step is seeing if ReShade works in VR on this game and then to make a preset which adds in some realistic lighting.

Heyyy I really like your video! I want to know what do you think of Pimax Crystal, is it worth of buying one (since I am also interested in it lol)? And another question, that when you consider buying a VR headset, what are the top 3 factors you care most?
It's a nice step up from the Reverb. But the lenses are a pain. They give me more eye strain than I get with other headsets. It doesn't feel completely natural , like I'm wearing incorrect prescription glasses. It's not game breaking. But it's something which annoys me.
Resolution is amazing. Headset is a bulky heavy horrible design. Audio is terrible. Tracking is good.
Buy it if you just want the resolution and that's all that counts. If you want a general headset to play beatsabre with then run away

Hey man does it run hot aswell like the reverb i get hit eyes after a while ,i was looking at this headset but now the beyond vr gets out in januari and that looks sweet
@@ronaldkasteel3459 No mine doesn't get hot, my Reverb never got hot either? It gets foggy lenses when I first put it on for a couple of minutes though.
Yeah I'm looking at a Beyond also. Not sure about the 75hz to run 2560x2560 resolution though. I tried the Crystal at 72hz and I guess I could get used to it at a push and it was nice to increase all the graphic settings a bit more but I went back to 90hz as it just felt much better.
Extreme cool with the track, do you use a force feedback steering wheel?

how did you get paste the multiple inputs detected errors if any?. I cannot get this game to work with it.

@@AndreS-yc9gb When you do the wheel , you still have to do the setup and allocate the left right and pedals etc. To get it to register you have to turn the wheel far left or right and then return it to centre quickly. It only registers once it returns to centre for some weird reason.

You lower the resolution down to run the game maxed out or you use the frame smoothing? I tried running 120hz with frame smoothing so I was playing 60fps. Was ok but i'll wait for the 72hz firmware
@@wickfut8917 I'm running 90. Seems steady with 25 cars during day. I do get random freezes. Not sure what that is all about
@@cdrseabee What resolution? 100% SteamVR resolution or OpenXR default, which is much lower? I can only hit about 45-60fps running 100% scaling in SteamVR with everything on full.
Can you provide system info (CPU)? Any updates on what your recommended graphics settings? thx!
CPU is a 13900KF. 128GB memory. I don't use these settings any more. I run 100% scaling in OpenXR now. So around 4300x5100 or something. OpenXR I have FFR set to 85%. I my game settings as: MSAA set to low. Textures high, and other things set to low/medium. Hit 90fps in the day time. Some judders with lots of cars so I started having little races with 10x cars. At night I have to switch out MSAA to FXAA medium. I'm still balancing it to be honest.
I'll upload a little video of the settings pages tomorrow.
