- Here's our weekly food shop for 2 vegan parents and one vegetarian toddler! It's a pretty decent balance of healthy food, treats & snacks. The fresh stuff lasts us the week but the rest tends to keep us going for around two weeks.
Hope you find some vegan budget inspiration from this video!

I find these videos so interesting! I’m veggie but the only dairy I really eat is cheese so my shop is similar to this. I love Aldi for basics but I’m a sucker for all the branded vegan food in Sainsbury’s!
I don't know if you've seen them, but Aldi do some AMAZING spicy taco beans! so good!
are they new?? I think I saw them when I was doing this shop but I didn't pick any up, they did intrigue me tho
Yasmin Johal I’d never seen them before until my dad brought them home one day! They’re so good, perfect for a chilli or burritos ☺️
Absolutely no shade to you on this in the slightest, plastic waste is imho a business responsibility more than a consumer one and *not* something worth pouring energy into when we're living on a budget - but it's shocking comparing Aldi UK and Aldi Germany and seeing how much extra packaging they use in the UK stores 😱
Almost all the fruit/veg you bought is available loose here, apart from broccoli, and the mushrooms which you can get in a cardboard box with a cling film wrap. It's mad how much further supermarkets could go on the waste they produce and just... don't 🤔
yeah aldi is actually one of the worst for this. I did a plastic free week for Mutha and found that big supermarkets like sainsburys you could get pretty much every fruit or veg except grapes /berries plastic free but aldi doesn't really have anything except bananas and spring onions
This really inspired me to go to Aldi this weekend, it's quite a long cycle from where I live, but it looks like its worthwhile!
When you were talking about mushrooms it literally made me so sad, they are my absolute fav thing! But my fiancé hates them and we share most of our meals so I hardly get to eat mushrooms! Talk about first world problems 😂
omg no that is actually really sad hahaha. danny doesn't like coconuts so I don't ever have Thai curries or a lot of vegan desserts WHY DO OUR BOYFRIENDS DO THIS
sorry to be nosey but I have this with garlic!! my boyfriend is intolerant to it and so I feel very deprived
I loved this video, thanks for sharing! Would love to see your weekly shops every week!x
Love Aldi! Xx Great Haul xx
I'm in the US but this is helpful
this was so fun to watch! 💛
Thank you for making this video! A new Aldi opened up in our town and being a veggie family of 3, I wanted to know if Aldi was the way to go for budgeting reasons... I’m sold!
Ah this is so helpful!! 😍
Loved this haul , new supporter here 💚
Thank you for sharing with us. 💚
I absolutely love videos like this! So interesting to see what other people eat/ what you consider budget and I always get meal ideas from them so thank you! Just love being nosy really haha (also recommend Madeline Olivia for lots of vegan budget grocery hauls from all the different UK supermarkets!) xo
yesss love her videos!
Love this!
You can freeze tortillas and then dry fry from frozen! Saves them going to waste :)
Chickpea curry is one of our go-to's! Love that.😍 Also so jealous you have those quorn deli options, we don't have those in the states I don't think, definitely not at our Aldis. I love watching these videos to see what I might be missing out on! Not so much a fan of Aldi using so much plastic but regardless, love Aldi. Great haul! I also have a channel where I share vegan eats and sustainability, I'd love for you to check it out. ❤ Otherwise thanks so much for sharing your haul with us! 💚💚
I'm pescatarian but I shop at Aldi and often go for their vegan ranges, there's so much choice now and it's so cheap 😍
I also find the oat milk in Aldi is actually pretty good! I love oatly or minor figures usually but for cost I do get the Aldi version every now and again!
poundland and heron (if that's accessible to you) often do alpro and minor figures oat milk for £1!! but yes I agree the aldi one is pretty good given how cheap it is x
we have a very similar shop lol, aldi is so good for vegan and veggie stuff, so are asda and co op 😊
would be so interested to see what meals you make with this food and how many meals you get out of your shop!
there is probably about 10 or 11 days worth of meals from that! maybe more but I do what I eat in a week videos sometimes (there's one next week) that show what kinda things we eat! x
Yasmin Johal yeah I love your what I eat in a day/week videos always very inspiring for new food ideas! Very interesting to see how many meals you can get out of a shop - my partner and I usually spend £50 for a 16 day shop but obviously don’t have a child to account for too! x
Loved this video and love aldi, we are exactly the same and have to go elsewhere for vegan cheese and tofu 💔💔
Been a while since I've been so don't know if they still do it but the bread in the brown paper packaging is *the best* (it seems super fancy to me so I only ever buy it for a treat 😅)
omg idk which one you're on about maybe I haven't noticed it?! Will keep an eye out next time
@@YasminJohal I think it's their malted bloomer?
I love videos like this, I'm also super nosey! Havn't been able to go to Aldi or Lidl in ages as still sheilding, really want to try the sweets. Don't think Tesco do any sour sweets like this!
And agree with the tins, I always have loads of different beans and tinned toms in the cupboard. Also tinned coconut milk for easy curries!
aw danny doesn't like coconut milk so we never buy it but true, love a Thai curry!! fizzy sweets are the best
Tesco do fizzy rainbow stripes, fizzy strawb laces and fizzy cola laces which are vegan, found by all the normal sweets. The non fizzy ones aren't vegan though
Morgan Breeze how did I not know this? Thank you so much! Game changer 😎
I really need to check my local Aldi.
it's theeeee best
I have one about 5 miles from me
We also loved the spicy chicken burgers. I'm so sad if they've gone to Morrisons as we don't have one near us 😭
they have some in morrisons that are new and taste exactly the same but they're £3 :(
How do you find the fruit and veg at Aldi? I stopped buying them a while ago because they didn't last long before going mouldy :( I hope it's improved?
aw we find it alright! the spinach is the only thing that we find goes off so we just switched to frozen spinach whenever we get to a bigger supermarket x
Ooh I'm in luck I am literally just about to go to aldi lol
did u get anything fun??
@@YasminJohal I got the sweet potato pakoras! I'm so excited to try them 😂
Great food haul but EVERYTHING is in plastic. Not your fault but it’s shocking that they’ve wrapped all the fruit and veg 🙈
