Teddy rocked it at CHAMPU BBQ
Oklahoma is going to shock some people this season. Can’t wait.
if they stay healthy there is a ton of reason for optimism. i wish they had a Vandy on their schedule this year. but should be some fun games
TEDDY is always better when he’s fired up we need a good old fashion rant!!!
Oklahoma has had more elite talent since the Barry Switzer era, period. Brent Venable and his coaching staff have been doing a great recruiting and many people are stuck on stupid with Riley's former recruiting. Oklahoma has ELITE talent.
Love these guys. Boomer Sooner! Still waiting for the "in the weeds" video on inside vs outside zone and what the heck pin/pull means
For real
Look forward to all you Sooner talk
that Jaden comment is sooo exciting and true Teddy, what a great pitch to qbs. we may not have the best qb coach but we have the best coach that stands in your way of success to train against!!
Best ou podcast, I watch every episode.
The fact our recruiting is blowing up despite the results not being there makes me absolutely giddy once things start to fall into place and we start racking up Ws. It's going to go to the stratosphere.
This shocked me, but looking at the remaining players on the roster that Riley recruited are all impact defense players, Boman, Stuntsman, Downs, Washington
How many others got processed out or haven’t played? I seriously doubt they’d be looked at the same playing under Riley either
there’s also some bias in that considering the most senior members of the team would have to be from that era
Be interesting to see how we keep all these QB’s on the roster
Always need depth at QB. We've seen that the last few years when DG has gotten hurt.
We won't but this guarantees Bedlam from 2 years ago will never happen again.
The A&M - Texas rivalry will be fun to watch again. Pumped to see us vs MIZ as well. Hope we beat them by 25
19:52 - That's a great observation. And is definitely a good and smart pitch for a defensive coach like Venables to give to elite QB recruits. Lol
Ok, like you said, it’s one measurable, but my buttpucker loosened up after hearing this. I feel better, but I live in Lexington Ky in the middle of sec and have been beat to death with the “play somebody” tag from ALL my friends here, so THIS season is maybe as big as it’s been for me
During and after this season they will say oh no now we have to play Oklahoma.....chalk up another loss fellas
Said it before and saying it again, the best Sooners Podcast on youtube. 💪🏈🏆🔥💯
Teddy's face "PRIMAL" 🤣🤣🤣
Gabe, just want to think you for training grandson at McGuinnies high after you graduated from OU. ANYWAY HE PLAYED 2yrs at Frisco, then to LAKE Travis but switched to Rugby which he like better. He has a scholarship for Saint Bonaventure reporting inAug. Tell Teddy hello I remember him as a kid at my cousins house in Ft Gibson .my cousin was Lee Richards.crab apple fights and BbB gun fights
That blue chip list you quoting does NOT include transfers. Bud did one of those too. On that one you behind texass and LSU besides uga and bama.
Great pod! I laughed out loud multiple times! 😅
There was zero Big 12 schools in EA Sports top 25 toughest places to play.
11:58 - To the people, including parts of our fanbase, who claim they don't care about star ratings.
Sure, you can find gems outside of 4 and 5 stars. But they are the exception, not the rule. So quit acting like the ratings don't matter as a rule.
Intersested to know how OneOklahoma and the coaching staffs work together deciding which athletes get NIL income amounts.
How many top 10 receivers has Emmett signed to OU??
Good show guy's!
Would like to see our BC ratio % by game going intro SEC play.
Lets go!
Michigan is at 54% and they just won a NC. So, coaching and being big in big moments means something.
Maybe Emmanuel that receiver from Lancaster got hurt or something during the year and didn’t get to play in that many games and his stats are a little off
Isaiah Thomas was a great high school basketball player that we all know excelled on the end and is playing in the NFL today. This kid I think is more athletic than Isaiah even was. Big time pickup and keeping our number one player in the state, which Riley couldn’t do, home where he belongs.
I think the transfers are included in your blue chip ration IF they were blue chips coming out of high school, correct?
Oh the trophy when I was the best player on the losing team. That's like in soccer games when they give man of the match to a home team player when they lost by 4.
I won "smallest fish" at a local fishing tournament when I was 3 or 4. I was even in the newspaper. Lol
I'm nit sure why the blue chip ratio gets talked about so much. Basically it's this simple, the better the players yiu have the better chance you hVe to win. I knew that in 2nd grade when I knew if Johnny was on my kickball team we would probably win. If Johnny and
Joey were on my team we were going to win.
OU rated stixth
-Gabe Ikard
Lakers have shown how serious they are hiring coach that has never been a head coach - at any level. If they draft Bronny James everyone will know for sure. But these are Lebron decisions, not mgmt.
And Teddy & Gabe are the best. Think OU will be much better than all the pundits are expecting.
BOOMER SOONER 4LIFE
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT FIRST
How will the power dynamics between coach, players, fans, and investors change as we get further into the NIL era?
Are coach's power and influence going to greatly diminish? Will fans become more neglected by the University for money from big investors? How much power and influence does a GM type position take away from a college coach?
Because depending on those answers and if the power and influence of a head coach is greatly diminished as they continue to try to turn college football into an imitation of the NFL, I'm not going to going to care about college football anymore.
Same shit every year. Brent Venables is going to shock the world. .bla bla bla....PROCEEDS TO LOSE TO KANSAS
Acting like they didn’t have 4 more wins than the previous year and won their biggest game. Kansas won 9 games, OU had key defensive injuries, and they got some help from Big 12 refs just like OSU did, so let’s slow down the meltdown
