I made the dudhi dish and the simple dal tonight. I also did your tindora fry this evening. Thank you very much. Everything is very good, and my freezer is filling up. My wife said it was the best dal she ever had. I think she is just not used to a fresh tempering. She has mostly only had dal at restaurants.

    Lovely recipes mam..as usual....
I have a small tip for tamarind users.that is you could keep the tamarind in a small vessel with water in the pressure cooker...it becomes soft and can extract every bit easily on cooling , since cooker is kept almost daily for rice and dal.
I also keep large amount of tamarind in a cooker vessel for extracting large qty to make pulikachal.. it is a big time saver! I thought I could share this useful tip

(Long long ago, once upon a time, lauki (surakkai) was taboo in orthodox Brahmin houses, even now to some extent!) All the dish I watch you prepare are mostly traditional and taken time and again. Thanks for their revival! All the very best!
