    Well done. I know it's not rocket science, but this is the simplest design I've seen. I can appreciate a guy who knows how to work alone. I think I'll go with your shelves.

    No joke. This was exactly what I was looking for. The timing was perfect. Thanks.

    Great work. Wife wants to start yard sales soon. I will make a few of these on a smaller scale so that she can load up her merchandise on them, roll them out of the garage onto the driveway then roll them back in at the end of the day. Like this she wont have to load her merchandise onto tables every time she does a sale.

    This video was awesome thank you. I love how you don't have to cut out the shelves at the end because you put the frames on the outside. And I'm definitely looking at castors now. I hadn't even thought about those

    Outside of your shelves are much simpler as the 2x4 is on the outside, usually people put them in front which blocks off a section of the shelf. Yours are so simple to put together as well. Dont lose any space on the OSB

    Very nice work and a great idea. Personally I would also add a board at the bottom so the containers can be on the shelf everytime you need to roll it. Great job regardless! Thanks for sharing.

    I’m making this now and your video has been my guide. Thank you! What type of wood did you use for the cross brace? How’s it holding up?

    • @BearCreekWoodworking
      @BearCreekWoodworking  Před 5 lety

      The cross brace was some old barn wood that I already had on hand. It's 3/4" thick, so I'm sure any 1x6 pine construction lumber will work fine. Over all, the shelves and cross bracing are holding up very well. I'm very happy with these shelves! Gook Luck with your build, and Have a Great Day!

      I heart sea life nice build, you added a twist the wheels I like that. I added on to a existing shelf using the original setup , although it was only 16 inches coming out, the I used 4 8 ft 2 by 4s , with 22 inch side supports and 8 2 by 6 by 12s srewed into the supports, adding almost 2 feet coming out!!!

    • @BearCreekWoodworking
      @BearCreekWoodworking  Před 6 lety +2

      I bought the casters from Home Depot and they are holding up great. As long as you buy a medium priced caster you should be just fine.

  • @fittergrips2010
    @fittergrips2010 Před 5 lety +10

    Your shelves are not post and beam . your weight is supported by your screws only . Be careful of the weight you put on your build

    • @bigguyprepper
      @bigguyprepper Před 4 lety +3

      if you use structural screws its n to such big deal. I prefer GRK brand

    • @BearCreekWoodworking
      @BearCreekWoodworking  Před 3 lety +5

      Yes, it is not post and beam design. This is a fast and easy design. Since each screw can hold over 200 lbs. I'm not worried about the load on these shelves.

      Yes, the dimensions are 8ft x 8ft x 4 ft. I'm glad I added the casters. It makes moving them around the garage so easy if needed. Thanks for the interest in this video.

    If those plastic boxes are already stackable by design, then why build shelves? To me, it's a waste of space. If you were going to build shelves for say a lot of miscellaneous things like air and oil filters, and small tools, and a couple electric hand tools, then I can see the need for shelves, but not plastic stackable boxes.

    • @BearCreekWoodworking
      @BearCreekWoodworking  Před 4 lety +3
