DIY Garage Storage Shelves | Shed Shelves: Strong, Easy and Cheap

- There’s a ton of storage shelves plans out there for your garage, workshop or shed that rely solely on screws to hold up the shelves, but we’re going to be packing these shelving units with some heavy tools and equipment so we came up with a robust, heavy duty build that will stand the test of time and did NOT break the bank.
The whole unit is made of 2x4’s, OSB and some wood glue and 2 1/2 inch deck screws. It took only a few hours to build and stick around to the end of the video to find out how much it cost compared to a pre-made unit of inferior quality.

These look like pretty good shelves, but I don't think the liquid nails or glue on the legs is necessary. There is nothing that will tend to pull the OSB from the frames, and there is nothing that will pull the supports from the legs. The unit would be just as strong if it were just screwed together, and in the future, when you decide to change things up ( like we all do ) it would come apart easily and the materials could be reused.
It looks great.... Just a little more effort and cost than necessary.
