Their folks, for whom I feel genuine sorrow, have an almost superstitious fear of questioning the GB. That's the funny thing about truth, though. If it really is true, it should not only stand up to scrutiny, but it should also encourage it.
It looks that way to you because you don't know the scriptures and neither does the judge. The judges questions reflect a lack of respect for the scriptures. That is why the judge doesn't understand or even know how to formulate a coherent question

Very well butt since this is a public forum it's not all about you. You have to admit that anyone taught by Jehovah will draw a different conclusion than this video promotes. Anyone not familiar with spiritual matters would pose questions like the judge does and draw conclusions based on THAT world view.
We commonly hear the charge that Brother Jackson was lying or being evasive. However, anyone taught by Jehovah immediately recognizes that he was just being humble. If he was lying he would be fined and or jailed for perjury, which he was not.

I looked up the reference provided in the show notes and contrary to what the video maker would like you to think, he conveniently left out the word "alleged" . So these were alleged pedophiles. In other words, innocent until proven guilty.

He was referring to all of the other churches of the same religion... not just the church you are in. Just like they have so many kingdom halls in one city , they all talk and associate with all the other members of other halls in that city.. they don't just socialize within that particular one they're in.. Most PPL that go to a church don't have much to do with the same church on the other side of the city .for example, .. they keep to their own.

The key word is "presumptuous". For those who are still active and those who are doing their investigative work, this word he used should strike a chord. Jesus died for everyone. The JW's believe they have been chosen to Preach and teach the Gospel in all the world. They do a tremendous Bible educational work. There are no paid clergy at any level including the Governing Body. The contributions are used for spreading the Word in all the inhabited earth.. We study, research and pray for forgiveness and direction. And can make errors like anyone.
The Bible is there for anyone to read, obey and follow the teachings. That is what he means. JW'S do not have exclusive possession of God's Word. They try to follow their commission.

In the case of a female victim bringing an allegation against an elder, most people would understand that she would be afraid and intimidated, Jeffrey Jackson doesn't really understand or show empathy to a female victim. You can really see that. Its horrible and we can plainly see how witness women rarely get justice with this kind of thinking in the congregation.

If a person is violated forensic evidence needs to be obtained at a hospital ASAP. A meeting with elders can give evidence later. The forensic evidence can assist the elders in making a decision about dealing with the wrongdoer. The authorities can prosecute the guilty person. The elders can only decide if the person can stay in good standing in the congregation. They can not prosecute a wrongdoer.
That sounds good on paper but so many wheels to turn. You must realize that each case is different so of course there is no one answer to all of the cases this is why it is left up to the family to contact police and in some cases to the mandated reporter. I’m all they Jane never in my experience disuádete someone from contacting the police and report it. Now, has it happened? Yes., I’m sure but most likely a person who did not fully understand the rules.

I was a Jehovah's witness since 1999, I was baptized in Germany a Portuguese congregation, I was disfellowshipped in 2013 Phoenix Portuguese congregation. I was 16 years old and yes You Do Not have a choice, even though I believe that due to the rules or the organization when it comes to the decision of wanting to live, by law under age baptism should be banned, why? Because it's a lifelong punishment & commitment. Jesus used to go to the temple, he knew his father, he is the son of God, he came with that purpose but he was baptized as an Man & not as a boy or teenager, we are called to fallow his footsteps. Imagine how satan could use that against God; he could accuse our God of brainwashing Jesus & trap him in early baptism, and many more things...
Our lives are completely turned & changed, the emotional abuse, the way that they label us that no longer believe that they're the chosen ones, they influence how people treat us & our own families, that's abuse & needs to stop.

I went to my 'friends' house I was studying with, showed him my evidence, and he said it was all fake, apostate lies. The elders should encourage the sex abuser to turn themselves over to the authorities in order to gain a good conscience. Instead, the matter is swept under the rug and the congregation is not warned that there is a pedophile in their midst and so the pedophile is allowed to socialize among unknowing and unprepared parents with their children running about. Members of the congregation are taught they are in a 'spiritual paradise', being left totally in the dark as to what is lurking in their midst. I would imagine had God's spirit moved the elders to make correct decisions, these hearings would have been avoided.
Why hide and dodge behind words? If you are so proud of the doctrine and policies that are "spirit directed" why cower behind double talk? Truth? I think not.

I still talk to Jehovah in prayer but can never go back because of all my bad experiences from the congregation. They stumbled me out of the truth and I can never go bavk due to my mental health. Christian women were not on the Governing Body in Jerusalem during the first century. We are told to follow the example set by Jesus and his apostles. If we deviate from that example we cannot be called Christian.

What happened to "boldly witnessing" to the superior authorities? He isn't doing that at all, and sidestepping the questions or plainly not answering them. When I was a witness, I figured if I went to court, I would defend the truth with all my might. Using the scriptures as my source documents. So I don't see what the problem is. Why do GB and JW elders feel that only they have the privilege of participating in the “decision making aka judging” of their spiritual brothers and sisters in present time, and women in the future? :)
The existence of exceptions, such as Deborah, proves that God has nothing against women in the position of judge. Because, probably, he would not allow an exception to happen in "his organization". On the other hand, what if God “allows” JW men not to allow JW women access to management positions in a JW organization, but does not approves such conduct.
Furthermore, both OT and NT have an expiration date. After them always comes something new and different. Maybe, before God, NT fulfilled its purpose as well as OT, and JW followers didn’t recognize it?

So if the elders determine which scriptures should be read literally and which ones metaphorically then surely that means all the in-congruent flavours of Christianity that focus on different parts of the Bible while discounting others are all based on relatively determined biblical interpretations. What's the point of adhering to the Bible when it fails to discriminate between crimes and sins? Fails to prevent both, in fact often incites sins, crimes and immoral behaviour? Produces so much conflict and misery?

The September 1st 2017 Letter to all Elders clearly states that victims or those who know of an allegation of child sexual abuse, will be instructed by elders that they can freely, without reprimand, contact the authorities. The elders will still only contact the legal dept of the society.
