What’s the point of press conferences with journalists ask stupid and pointless questions
I agree, but some of the coaches make zero effort to engage or give meaningful answers. So I feel like sometimes the Journos dumb it down just to get some responses.
@@JAZ_VEIGA I think the onus is on the journalists to ask engaging questions. Some coaches just don't care about talking to them but it's the journos responsibility to get them to engage.
With the Roosters this past week someone asked about Keary after what looked like a head knock and Trent said it was a cut and he's fine, then the follow up question was baiting for a soundbite of Trent talking about Keary's health, concussions, and if the club is concerned, even though Trent had already stated it was a cut. You could see him lose all patience with that question because it had nothing to do with what happened in the game.
That's the biggest problem with these things, the journos go into it to get juicy soundbites and very little else, which is probably why a lot of coaches play it defensive
Please turn up the volume of the reporters asking the questions. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Around 5:55, Wayne had a Freudian slip on where he'll be coaching next year. Surprised that the journos didn't jump on what Wayne had said.
If you ask a closed question you get a yes no answer. Ask an open good question he is engaged.

I think that’s what a lot of teams are lacking is a good defence
But it’s also hard to achieve it when ever you come into contact with a player you run the risk of attracting a penalty cause your tackle wasn’t 100% text book

Wayne carries on like a spoilt brat at times, but doesn't seem to realise that it's insulting to the fans of his own team, who might want to get more insight into the mob they put their cash into.
Maybe Wayne has lost interest and worried about money more than our mighty dolphins

I doubt it, kristian is doing a great job coaching, Wayne won't let the phins down, but if we don't offer contracts to our players we will lose them to the bunnies.
