I love all the 7 original Ultra Series (Ultraman - Ultraman Leo) but I must say Ultraman Hayata (1966) is my most favorite. Grew up watching him and he had a special place in my heart.
Thank you for posting this! I still remember and enjoy this theme music from when the show was broadcast in the late 60s, and never forgot it. I really appreciate your making it possible to enjoy it again as an adult.
This brings back wonderful memories! I am Japanese-American (Japan born, US raised) 42 years old and Urutoraman grew up with me. I found it difficult to relate to the American superheroes when I was growing up as they had nothing in common with me. So while my friends watched Superman and Batman, I listened to Urutoraman records and manga that my grandma shipped to me. Urutoraman helped me keep close to Japanese culture and language while growing up in the midwest ありがとう ウルトラマン、ありがとう おばあちやん！
So unfair...so unfair...because when I was a child, I accepted that when I grew up, I'd either join the Science Patrol...or at least Unicorn. These seemed very reasonable career options. Both "Ultraman" and Johnny Sokko" referenced other countries as being part of the same organizations, and both said there were American and Canadian branches. I looked forward to running around in bright orange, helmet firmly in place and ray gun in hand. It's just...not...fair...

The first part reminds me of Darth Vader's "Imperial Death March". One wonders if John Williams could have been at least a tiny bit inspired or influenced by this.
There are actually lyrics to this. This was actually done as an anthem which the patrol members sing. The sung lyrics have rarely been duplicated except on rare soundtrack and video recordings. It would be great to have that resource and its translation. The American version of the Ultraman intro is incredibly lame compared to the fantastically overproduced anthem of the original Japanese!
If I'm not mistaken, one of the members of the Science Patrol at 1:13 looks very much like the beloved Japanese wrestler the Giant Baba; please confirm.
Love the theme...audio level just a bit too high...can you re-record with the level turned down just a bit? Would make copying a little easier. Otherwise no problems. Thanks.

Did you know a couple of people made a pair of Science Patrol outfits for the 2012 Comic-Con? I have to admit they did a great job!
