    Watching you weave in and out of traffic makes me so happy i live in a vastly rural area! Driving a car, let alone a bike in that....Wowza! Im just getting into bikes and scooters at 43, looking at a 22' PCX 150 to get started on. Wanted something light and short. Your videos have aided this decision a lot! Appreciate all you post!

    Hi Quasi, Don't ever stop. You keep me sane between rides and weekends away. Glad you're riding regularly again. I ride my Xmax much much more these days and take the car less. Thank you

    6:00 Theres always zorin OS ... can make ancient hardware useful, excellent for tight budgets and all that..
    I look foward to zorin grid too... basically its a version or software on that OS that will let an admin monitor all the PCs in the "grid" to get updates, etc.... not 100% sure how it works as its not out to public yet.

    The $15 spongy mesh seat covers do a really good job of reducing ball frying, they are low mass so they don't hold a lot of heat. I think you have talked about them before so I'm sure you know about them, but they are very worth while in the heat. Air flowing under you feels nice to.

    The last remanufactured engine I bought was $1500, an that was a 500ci Cadillac. But then, that was around the year 2000.

    I am surprised you didnt try and shade your seat from the sun,how about using an ice pack wrapped in a wet towel on the seat with a large hat or something for shade? May have kept it cooler.

    Always enjoy your videos. Been meaning to ask about your turn signals and the beep when either is activated. Is this an aftermarket mod? Do they self cancel? Thanks.

    • @QuasiRAW

      I installed several of those turn signal reminders on my bikes. A company called SMiDSY in the UK made these, but they are out of business now. The model number was TSR-3 (turn signal reminder version 3). I'm still searching for a replacement product here in the USA. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    You park next to the building,couldnt you place 2 anchor bolts in the wall and hang a tarp from wall over the bike for shade/rain protection? Just leave tarp inside building when done.

      I looked at the Maverick XLT back in 2022, but they were unobtainable at the time. I like it, but $27K is still a hard pill to swallow for a small truck. 🤔 --QM

    what do you think of windows 11 my computer tries at least once a week to try and make me upgrade. the trouble is i already went from 8 to 10 now they want me to upgrade to 11 and my computer is at least 8 years old. and yes a reman that to rebuild it yourself. thats like my red turd. its almost dead but not putting a engine in it. with a trans with 315000 miles on it plus mine is a 4x4 .

    As dangerous as texting an driving is, it should cost you you're license, not just a ticket.

    • @nondesperado
      @nondesperado Před měsícem +2

      Here in Denmark using a mobile phone during driving costs a 300 dollar fine and 1 point on your license (3 points and the license is gone).
      If you’re convicted of reckless driving the state confiscates your vehicle, auction it off and keeps the money, and it doesn’t matter whos vehicle you were using. The same goes for driving without a license (third time you get caught = vehicle is gone).
      For example if you borrowed or leased the vehicle in question, well then you owe somebody a vehicle.
      Trust me, the state has confiscated quite a few expensive cars on that account.

    Why don't you get one of those Honda mini trucks they import from Japan? Lol. They are pretty cool though

    • @QuasiRAW
      @QuasiRAW  Před měsícem

      I've been looking at those now that they're legal in Texas. Unfortunately, they're expensive after the import fees and importers/distributors get their markups. Most of the Honda Acti and Suzuki Sambar trucks cost upwards of $10K to have one on the road here. 🤔 --QM

    What happened to the truck??

    • @QuasiRAW
      @QuasiRAW  Před měsícem

      It's a long story, but here's the short version. The upper-rear coolant pipe on the intake manifold rusted through and dumped coolant everywhere. I took it to a local shop that charged me $350 to diagnose it, and their full diagnosis was over $4K to fix it. NOPE! 🤣 Then I realized that they didn't do ANYTHING to the truck for that charge! ( czcams.com/video/kpXv7dgB79s/video.html )
      They agreed to fix the leak for free after some bad publicity. Unfortunately, they put some strong detergent in the cooling system to clean out the rust. That cleaner eroded the head gasket, so now it's leaking coolant into one or more cylinders... it nearly hydro-locked the last time I started it ( czcams.com/video/VIBg5ik7P2I/video.html ). I was able to drive it slowly and carefully to the warehouse... belching white smoke down the highway. It has been sitting there since then. 😒 --QM

    great job, as far as the rebuild goes its cheaper to buy a short block from like Jasper. But still expense. Might want to buy a new used truck. Good luck, stay safe. ps wife says you sound like her when she drives commenting on the others

    • @QuasiRAW
      @QuasiRAW  Před měsícem

      Yep, my searches for a rebuilt engine so far are yielding $3500-4500. That doesn't bode well for that old truck's future. If I could do the job for under $3K, it might be worthwhile... otherwise, I'll probably scrap it. 😒 --QM
