For those who can't find Chromium in the programs list: go to your boot drive (probably C) > Users > [your PCs name] > AppData > Local and there you'll find this little shitnugget hiding. Just permanently delete the whole chromium folder and wish horrible pain upon those who created it.

I had uninstalled Chromium because it had been modified to force yahoo as my default home page. Very annoying malware behavior. The registry had been modified to auto start Chromium as well, also very annoying. Even after uninstalling, I started getting popups that would force install chromium again!!! I had to use regedit to go into the registry to delete the auto start entry. Thanks for this video!

just get malware bytes it destroys it. once you restart your pc it will open for the last time you close it NEVER EVER COMES AGAIN (btw i got 135 detected objects)

After going through the regedit I deleted every single file with the name "Chromium" in it, but there was one file that wouldn't be "fully" deleted, something about an AppStore I think? After going through the rest of them, and refreshing the regedit that pathway is gone now. Is it gone for good? Or is it just going to come back later?

I think this was what screwed up my family's old PC, I didn't know it was malware, and the computer wouldn't start up properly and the BSOD would pop up every time sometimes when the computer was starting up, sometimes when I was doing work, and ESET didn't detect it, that's why we didn't know it was malware, but when we took it to Ben's Computers, he said it was a fried motherboard, he didn't mention anything about malware or a virus, but now we have an iMac and run smooth and clean Mac, not stupid Windows

There was a time that Chromium wasn't a virus. Chromium quit years ago, and then other creators copied the source code and put a virus into it. Only if chromium never quit ;(

Chromium is an open source browser project that Google used make chrome another browser made using chromium is opera and very soon Microsoft will recreate edge using chromium. Chromium its self is a barebones browser with no Google features.

it's not there in program and features but when I start my pc up it launches chronium straight away
First download and scan with Malwarebytes-antimalware, then download and scan with Hitman Pro. Good Luck.
