I loved hiking up Grouse Mountain on the Grouse Grind hiking trail. It's basically 3 km of stairs in an amazing forest. Up top, you'll find a great selection of food to recover your strengths.
Been wanting to do that. Will get there one of these days.

It's been probably 40 years since I went to Vancouver, but I remember loving it as a kid. I'd love to go there again. Some day.

S looking for the best things to do the couple of days we will be there. Then on to Alaska on an expedition cruise.
Been to Vancouver 3x from CA to Vancouver on road trips. Very nice city and people are friendly. Love the fresh tropical fruits from the Market Place. Japadog is good and also the best tonkatsu ramen I ever tasted was G-Men Ramen Shop in Richmond BC.
Josh - You need to visit Grouse Mountain on your next visit. Great for skiing in the winter and hiking/dirt biking in the summer. The gondola going up and down from there provides breathtaking views. 👍

Another nice place to visit is Simon Fraser University. It's up on a hill and the views are pretty nice. Also they shot Battlestar Galactica there (probably because of the architecture).
Sushi tip, albeit an old one: I went to Sushi Bar Kilala at Gamma Av. x Hastings St. when I lived nearby. I heard that the Japanese couple who ran the place were so good their sushi was ordered by the Japanese Embassy.
I suggest visitng VanDusen Botanical Garden & Downtown views from queen elizabeth park by Bloedel conservatory.
North Vancouver is perhaps the best place anywhere for mountain biking

How did you get to the Linn Canyon Bridge?
Googlemap from anywhere in vancouver, or on hwy 1, over the ironworkers bridge, turning onto Lynn Valley Road to the (well marked) Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre. Short walk to the bridge (and beyond)

I've lived here most of my life, raised a family here and enjoy it thoroughly. Give yourself time to see it at a sane pace. And what can you say about a city with four circus schools? :-)
