I live on peach creek. There's still a lot of water flowing through it. Due to all the new construction homes along this creek that have never been threatened by high water, saw the creek rise faster then ever before.

I have watched people build up flood plain land with dirt and build homes that flood. An investigation of who signed these building permits would help.

They're all mostly from out of state and have piles of cash under the permits.

They are allowed to raise it 11 inches before you can complain. You might try finding Floodway issues as they require more restrictions.
