Hey Jerry, hope you’re well brother. Just wanted to let you know I’ve been in a real comedy rut lately. I’ve watched all your videos and repeat to watch at least one a day just to stay motivated. Game changer. Thank you sir.

Hi Jerry, just want you to know that even though I am a very very occasional standup night participant with no ambition in being a comedian, I watch your channel because of your positivity and “umph”! I am a 54 yo singer who trains his voice 3hours day 7 days a week. I have lived long enough to know that excuses are just that - EXCUSES. Thank you for being a mentor and a teacher. (Oh I am also a fitness nut and believe or not, this video you made of “excuses” inspires that part of my life too! )

It is absolutely true that older female actors have very few roles written for them. Ageism is a reality.

Female comedians in every community I've ever been in always express these complaints to me.
I personally have never found my gender to be an obstacle to my comedy.
Part of what makes something funny is the person who said the joke; a funny female is going to be funny for a different reason than a man.
I think female comedians are still trying to find their "voice" in comedy--Maybe it's because women have a hard time "translating" humor across the gender barrier. Some things just sound funnier coming out of different bodies! Or maybe they expected it to be easier? I never hear the end of it but I'll never understand it.
    Great video, Jerry! Subbed xoxo

It would be great to get feedback from the judges after a competition, but I’d be worried that if I approached them they’d think I was coming over to grub for points

I am pretty upset with the raccoons in my yard. We had an agreement. I leave my air fryer on the porch of my camper at night and they eat the gristle and greace out of it.
They took of with the cooker pot and I can't find it. Don't make any sense. They can't even use it unless they have the rest of it.

Juan Rivera Hitch had a lot of things right, but he died lonely and bitter, partly because he was a sexist

I know a lot of women who are funny. But comedy is still dealing with a bit of an identity crisis because women are still in the minority.

@@JerryCorleyyou know what they say about anecdotal evidence. what do call sexism? Because he never suggested women shouldn't do things.... but calling things as he sees it... did he say women aren't funny because they're women? No he never said that, he said women haven't needed to be funny and men are more inclined to because we developed it due to biology....i need your definition of "sexism" because it seems to me you think anyone that legitly criticizes women is a sexist to you...🤔🤔🤔
