You know part of the reason I have been taking lessons in welding was for this project, was hoping to be back sooner. Shawna tell Jeff to tie a nail on the end of the chalk line, clean the metal for the weld and shielding gas will make a huge difference in the welding, will arc better and help to take away some of the porosity in the bead.
Looking great and gunna save balancing on the beam or walking through the mud so that's great. Think when I finally do get back we can drop some piers out of the extra pole material and beef things up enough that you can take the loaded tractor over without any stress.

Will absolutely tell him! I'm sure he would love some on hand tips, it will be great to see y'all again.
Sorry we've been so quiet - it's just been insane around here. 😜

Bridge should last a good long time.

Thanks! We really hope so, that oak is too heavy for us to want to replace anytime soon 😅
      Appreciate you stopping by 😊

Good video I would use a sealer on the wood. I have a hft wire welder they will weld better than that if you have a good ground I use Flux core wire use it on hard to clean metal I have a old Miller 200 that uses co2 I got the little hft one when I gave out of co2 one Saturday and needed to get hay rake fixed I had a coupon to I paid $90 .welded the door on my boiler it works but had to let it cool off once if it stops welding and over load light is on just let it cool off. Nice job both of you take care be safe and well.

We've sealed it, and loving how it looks😃
Welding certainly is an art form, I'll keep practicing... It is a very handy skill. Thanks for the insight 😊
