    They may be making terminators.

The title is frustratingly clickbaity, suggesting that "robots are going to take our jobs" as the main argument. This seems like unnecessary speculation aimed at getting more views, especially since it's widely understood that humanoid robots like Atlas 2 are developed to address significant labor shortages.

Quit fear-mongering. Stick to the facts, not what certain individuals' opinions may be. I subscribe to this channel for AI information, not for the way that some people feel. I'm speaking of the misuse of robots in the military, not the replacement of jobs by automation.

The antenna on the head might show its future purpose. Why an external antenna? My guess is for satellite communication in off grid locations. Like battlefields!

The "terrifying" purpose is using it in a battlefield, with no solid evidence to back it up. I just saved you ~12 mins.

I’m just waiting for the day I can knock on the cupboard and say-“Time to do the housework”. Then all the mundane jobs will get done and I can spend more time doing stuff I like doing such as my garden, play my piano, cooking and art.🥰

Magnificent! The alterations to the face and head grant Atlas2 a distinct identity rather than just imitating a human face. Truly a beautiful creation! My concerns lie more with the intentions of the builders and controllers. I am also worried that the propagandized fear of AI posing a threat to job security could lead to discrimination between humans and AI robots and teach them to dislike the human species rather than want to help them.

At 3 minutes in I knew this was all going to be click-bait. Reading some of the comments I see now that I was likely right.

Every time i hear dangerous ignorant fools use the term 'fear mongering' to push acceptance of extremely dangerous industries like A.I., advanced robotics, and Meta, Google, Microsoft etc, it stills makes my skin crawl.

It's only economic hardship for everyone except the corps raking in immense wealth at the cost of every other human. More automation should = more corporate taxes.

Yeah i'm calling BS on this one, we heard all about "military applications" with the last one and it never materialised to that, just pure speculation, pretty sure this'll be the same with Atlas 2, i could speculate its going to be an omnidirectional sexbot but that doesnt make it true, soldiers are cheap in comparison, you can make them hump 20 miles into battle, feed them an MRE and then start fighting, aint no charge points in nature, + trying to build an army of these would cost more than most countries GDP, I COULD see them being used more in the logistics side of moving shit like ammo, mortars etc around kinda like warehouse style work, but the battle ready "Terminators" are decades away...

@@MrMick560 Rightly so. Boston Dynamics is known for having staged all of their great robot movies. The only thing that is real is the robot dog when it just walks. Remotely controlled by a human. Not really much more than an RC car
