I was so confused on this subject and these experts just cleared it all up
What performs better, lift with blocks or lifts with new struts?
Ty
This is giving me great vibes before I watch 😎

lol
Wow! 100% doing that very thing right now
Nick Deiters same
Me to 😂
Breaks it down nicely. Much better understanding of things after watching a few videos from these guys 👍🏼
Interesting video. I've been watching a few of these videos. I do a lot of beach driving on soft sand. Something that wasn't mentioned about leveling kits is that they increase your entry and exit angles on ruts and also make it less likely to bottom out. I put a 2" levelling kit onto My Mitsubishi Triton front and back and it made a huge difference to off road performce by adding ground clearance at the front and back. Levelling kits are not just for cosmetics.
I have been watching this channel over a year. I learned so much. I bought a 2017 Toyota Tundra last March. 2 weeks later I have 4 1/2 inch BDS on 20/10 33/13 , bushwhacker fenders flare. 3 weeks ago I installed ADD stealth fighter bumper, Go Rhino sports bar n Bak X4 bed cover. Bad ass looking truck
Thanks to this channel.
Thanks for the love and support Harold!
I already updated the rear shocks with Ride Grappler.Next move is front coiled over Fox n RBP grill.
Thanks again guys
👍🏿
I was just literally confused by all of this but thank you for clearing it up
Glad we could help!
Best explanation yet. Thanks!
Great informative video, thanks for this!!! 💯🤙
I got a 3” leveling kit from rough country. And they do give upper control arms. And they include the spacer blocks for the rear. And front and rear shocks and torsion keys. I guess it depends on what truck u have. It cost me around $750 and made my duramax look really nicr
Very informative for me/noob! Thanks
This explains why my rough country lift went up 4” rear and closer to 6” in front. Thank you
Love this video
I recently found out that, I have a lift kit in front and a leveling kit in the rear but; it’s not even. Front is way higher by like 2-3”.
Great info and excellent explanation
I’m just now getting Into the truck scene this video hella helps
Glad we could help!
Great explanation
Answered my queston ,thanks
I have a 2015 ram four wheel drive that I'd would just like to level. I am considering front spacers but have been told something like Bilstein 5100's would be a better option. I do not off-road and truck will barely even see gravel. Im considering going with spacers for that reason but would like a more professional opinion. By the way your videos are awesome! Keep up the great work!
Bilstein would be better, but if you aren't going off road or anything you'd be fine with spacers
Great info!
I choose leveling kit..
Thanks!!
Could you make a video about leveling links especially for the Ram Air Suspensions. Thank you
Mono tube vs twin tube shocks would be a good informal episode.
we've got a couple videos on that topic if you want to take a look, cheers
Thanks brother!!
Cool vids guys!
This is helpful, I got 3" in the front of my Tahoe, so I need a 1" spacer. Easy. Level and effectively lifted 3 inches. Too broke for anything else lmao.
I recently bought a 2019 Tundra Crewmax Limited. It’s my daily commuter. I don’t plan to do a bunch of off road. I would occasionally like to tow a Travel Trailer. I wanted to change the factory shocks with TRD Pro Fox Shocks, not sure if I should get the coil over with reservoir. I think a leveling kit is best but I wonder the just changing the shocks with add the lift I want.
reservoirs are overkill unless you're doing a good amount of offroad, otherwise most people cant tell a difference between non reservoir.
Great video. Hey I have a 2018 f150 and I'm planning to get a 2 inch leveling kit but I'm also planning on towing a travel trailer ( can I install air bags on the back to keep it level ) thanks for your time keep up the good work.
Yes airbags should help with squatting, check out our video about towing with lifted trucks!

I've noticed leveling kit spacers make a clunky noise , i don't like it
Hey like your video on leveling vs lift kit. I have a 99 dodge cant decide
It is all personal preference man!
Thanks I was really confused
Video helped thanks
I got 4 inch lift and bags on the back of my 14 Chevy 2500, I get level when I’m not towing but I’ll lift in the back when I’m carrying a trailer
sick vids
Awesome Forrest Gump clip at 2:31
Do a video on your thoughts on Tuff Country lifts. I've been looking at one of their 3 inch lift with an add a leaf spring kit.
look up rough country they r a little cheaper than bds and the higher up brands and I think they r good quality that’s what I have on my 96 f150 it’s a 6inch setting on 20x12 wrapped in 35x12.50x20 toyo mt I actually think it rides better then when it was Just leveled plus I get all kinds of attention in it
U can add a leaf spring to instead of using blocks to lift your rear.🙂😁
Doing and ICON Stage 5 suspension lift kit for my 19 Tacoma TRD Off-Road.
How much was it I’m about to buy a 2021
Coustom off set👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If I leveled my truck with a 3.5 lift/level kit with new UCAs but replaced the spacer, coil and strut with a 3.5 coilover, I should still be fine running the lift?
I've heard from local shops that you are able to use a 2" levelling kit with a 3" lift kit to get 5" lift - is that the case? lifting from the strut and with a block?
I’m not very knowledgeable about this stuff but that sounds like a bad idea, prolly just get a 5 or 6” lift kit instead of that
Wondering the quality of Motofab lifts or are there any you prefer over them.
Question : Which is better, lift blocks or Shackles? What's the advantages and disadvantages of these two?
Either is fine if you're just looking to get the job done.
what happens when your truck already has a leveling kit and you want a 4 inch lift, does it go up 4 inches in the back since it’s leveled out?
Body vs Suspension lift kit please!
body lift gets you 1-3" keeps same ride quality. suspension, gives you actual ground clearance/possible better ride.
Good stuff great advice leveling kit would be nice, what off road tires would you suggest that give that look along with level kit.
Check out this video!! bit.ly/2MfALIO
So when should I put blocks in the back vs just replacing the leafs? Is there any pros/cons to the both of them?
That is personal preference, search forums to see what you would prefer!
I watch more now that Fuller does the videos👍🇺🇸👊 sorry Shawn
Could you make a video of "What is a Lift Kit?"... Like the essentials in regards to Jeeps specifically?... Long Arms, Short Arms, Budget Lift Kits (Seen some on Zone Offroads Page for about $600 that are a bit more then just pucks, but confused about the others that are $1200 and up).... Pretty much, a video of What Are Lift Kits for Jeeps made of....? What parts give these lifts the "Flex" over rocks and obstacles on the trails? Are there better or worse Brands?... From XJs to ZJs to Wranglers.... Thanks in advance, I don't want to be confused anymore 😎👌🏻🙂
Are there lift kits that increase wheel travel or do i need a mid/long travel conversion? What are optuons for leaf springs in the rear?
if you're looking for more articulation you're going to want to get into actual offroading oriented setups, long travel/mid etc etc! for rears, you can get a few companies that sell leafs. Deaver is one of the more popular
Keep pumping out vids Guys!! Us Floridians want y’all to make money on CZcams so that you can do giveaways!! I work my ass off 11 hour days as a landscape foreman only making 14.50 per hour and I got a baby otw! So I’m screwed on being able to buy anything for my truck😏😏 I know my daughter won’t wanna ride home in a bone stock 07 king ranch😂😂😂
You guys are great btw appreciate the videos
What leaving kit do you recommend for a suspension with the magnetic ride component?
Shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com with your vehicle info and we can help you out J Z
If I’m just leveling the front to be level with the stock ride height in the rear of my Tacoma will it affect the life span of the truck?
It may cause extra wear and tear in the future but you would be fine! 🙏
What about a 2.25 level from ReadyLift? Considering putting it on my 14’ Silverado but am worried about the long term effects if there are any major ones I should consider
Not really any long terms effects but all suspension mods will cause extra wear and tear!
I have a 2001 Ford Excursion 7.3 diesel 2-wheel drive looking to raise at 3 inches either by leveling or suspension lift but cannot find any for 2-wheel drive diesels please help also looking to put 35 inch tires or bigger
Check out our lift kits for your 2001 Ford Excursion 2wd here!

So I've heard both sides of the arguments. I want to get about a 8" lift on a silverado 1500. I was told it would be cheaper to get a 5 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift? What's your opinion on this type of setup?
I keep hearing different opinions about the "ride" in reference to coil vs leveling/spacers. Can you explain the technical affect on the "ride" or smoothness of drive. I plan on putting all terrains on a 2020 tacoma.
You will definitely have better ride quality with Coils vs leveling/spacers!
Installed a 3in motofab leveling kit on my 15 Sierra z71 any recommendations for upper control arms?
Send an email to info@customoffsets.com and see what they recommend!
I wanna lift my truck 3in but it comes with a strut spacer and blocks and I dont know if it will put too much stress on it.
Shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com with the year make and model and our suspension expert Brad can get you situated!
2013 Ford f150 6-in rough country lift came with the 5-in rear block doesn't give you an option for 4-in block
I'm getting a 2" leveling kit for my fj so I can fit 33's. Im just doing this for until a can afford a true lift kit..
I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 and was going to go ahead with a lvl kit just so I can go with a little bit bigger of a tire... so should I be adding in the cost of putting new control arms and everything else that will be stressed out because of the lvl kit? Or can you get away with what’s there
minor leveling kits around 2-2.5" dont need new upper control arms or much anything else.
I know the higher you go the more stress on parts but would a two inch level really put stress on stuff
Anything other than factory will cause a little extra wear and tear!
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra all terrain. All stock .. I want to install a 2.5 level . Would that be okay and not stress my components much ?? Minor back trails. Nothing serious .. ??
FishOnTv I blew my left CV axel on a 2.5 readylift pulling a truck on a trail in my 2014 gmc 1500
I own a 2012 tacoma,is there a leveling kit that will not require the rear suspension to be raised?
Does this go for a 4in spacer too for the front too!?
Doing a 3inch lift on my 2020 siverado 2wd any recomendations in liftkits?
BDS, Mcgaughys, ICON etc. There are many good options!
If I use a coil over to level my truck do I need to do any modifications with the front end?
I have a quick question... I got a 6 inch rough country lift kit. But we put new leaf springs on the truck and now the front end is lower than the back end. What should I do to level the front end with the rear?
sometimes you can get a lifted strut for the front, instead of the factory ones, to gain another inch or two on the front. Or put a taller spacer there than what RC already uses (not advised).
Guys I need help!! I need a 4inch suspension lift for 08 f150 2wd I cant find one anywhere 😞 I can’t do a 6 due to height restrictions where I live (parking garages, etc)
Hi , I have a 2018 Hilux Revo. Does 2inch lift spacer will stress my component ? And it can balance my car body height ?
It will more than stock being that it is just a spacer and expect it to ride a little rougher but it should be pretty close to level after that.
What 2-4in lift & leveling kit do you recommend for a 99 Tahoe LT 4x4
is it ok if the back of my truck has a 2inch lift..but my front is on stock.?
Totally fine
Hi so I have a 4inc lift my truck still look down hill can I install a 2inc Torsion key to level it ?
So would a spacer leveling kit do ok when off-roading or should I get a suspension leveling kit?
A suspension lift would be ideal but if you are just doing some mild off-roading a spacer kit should be just fine! Check out our suspension kits here if you are interested in an upgrade!

Looking at doing 2021 tundra I like to still have a little bit of rake not sure what would be the best thing to do ? Don’t want to put big tires on maybe abit wider but like the front to be abit higher but don’t want level
If I add a 3-in leveling kit for my truck do I need the control arms replace or can I use them with the same ones
if you go 3" or higher on the front shock tower, its advised to get new upper control arms for alignment, and to allow for the full cycling of the suspension while offroad.
Is a 3/2 leveling kit for a Toyota Tacoma bad for the suspension?
No it is not! 🙏🏻
Budget question. I have a 2020 4x2 Tundra. Is it possible to just install a 6" spacer with a drop upper control arm w/o changing the knuckles & shocks ???
Hard to say, email info@customoffsets.com so our experts can help!
Just got a 2018 Expedition. Most of the looks I like are 3” ready lift kits. My concern is the stress to surrounding components and ride? Daily driver, mostly on road but want a nice stance and aggressive tires. Any advice or thought? Thanks.
Typically if its a 4wd we recommend that you get a differential drop bracket with a lift kit over 3". But you can also check out our gallery and see what others have on their Expeditions to give them stance!

Nice video update
Is the 3" front and 2" rear High Density Crystaline Denlin leveling kit from Supreme Suspension strong enough for off road 4 wheeling fun on my 2003 Trailblazer?
yep, those are pretty solid with rare failure rates
great info, a question...What is better overall for your truck? I plan on keeping my truck for years and I just want to do a 3-4" lift or leveling on my 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 quad cab.
It really all depends on a variety of factors, to get a more informed answer hit up our experts at info@customoffsets.com and they can try to help ya out man! 🤟🤟
I put bigger tire on my 09 dodge ram 2500 and they are rubbing the fender well when I make sharp turns would a leveling kit fix that or do I need a lift
Check out our gallery on our website and see what other people have done to make bigger tires fit on their Dodge ram 2500!

On a 2000 f150 3,5 spindles and 2” block on the rear can be a good lift?
lift spindles are the best, they dont affect the shock travel and other geometry in the front
Was the black Tacoma the you showed on this video a lift or leveling. Do you recommend one over the other?
Leveled!! I personally prefer Lifted!
I have a 2018 Silverado and want to put a 3.5 ready lift level but will I have to trim to get a 35 x11 on stock wheels.
Looks like youll have to do some metal trimming to get them to hit full lock
Ive been watching ur channel since january when i got my first truck i got a 2007 NBS crewcab silverado i think its time to level my truck ive dont alot of research and im undecided if i should get the rancho quicklift front shocks and rancho Rsx9000 on the rear or the pro comp 2.25 leveling kit that included both upper and lover spacers so my cv angles would not be stressed which would you recommend thanks for the help:)
Tough call, both good choices! If you had to choose between the 2 i would go with the Pro Comp kit because it is a little more friendly especially on the angles and you would also get some good ride quality out of it as well
So can you put leveling spacers in the back too, let's say for a supercar like a lambo and just get a bigger tire as well cause some countries have horrible roads and plenty speed bumps ?????
damn I really want a leveling kit on my 2011 Titan with new wheels and tires. DAMN!!! :)
Do a bds 3inch coilovers vs bds 4.5inch on the 2015+ gmc 2500
Would 33s look and fit good on a 3in lift 2006 Silverado crew cab 2wd? Or is the 4.5 lift a better choice, I can’t decide.
Take a look in our gallery and see what fits and looks best on other peoples rides!

So what if I have a 2.5 lift kit . Can I add a 2 inch level kit ?
If I get a lift kit. Will I need new leaf springs?
What's the best exhaust to put on my EcoBoost, I want it loud but not extremely loud?
We dont do exhaust systems, best bet would be to check with your local shop or friends/forums and see what other people have done.
Do you think if I put a 3 inch level on a Silverado and put a new better upper control arm in, it will be safe and more reliable?
Yes it doesn't hurt to replace old parts that will wear eventually!
What 2" leveling kit would u recommend for a 2019 Silverado RST Z71? What better spacer on top or bottom
Hey Bill, send an email to info@customoffsets.com and they should be able to help you figure out which kit would work best for you!
Question for ya! Or anyone who can give input... 02 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4, I have the rough country 1.5-2.5” levelling kit with 3” rear blocks. I’ve got 33s on 20” chromes, is there anything I can do ontop of this besides a body lift to get like an extra inch or two lift? Besides buying a whole new kit. The current setup only has new keys, and blocks in the rear btw... can I get a shock spacer kit or different control arms?
Besides a body lift we don't recommend stacking any other kits. You safest option would be to just order a larger kit. Check out our suspension kits here!
customoffsets.com/suspension
I have a 2017 Tacoma. Would I need any additional parts if I'm lifting higher than 3 inches? I keep hearing how you need to install relocation brackets and drop brackets but I'm not really familiar with what that is can anyone explain or is there a video on that?
if you go 3" or higher on the front shock tower, its advised to get new upper control arms for alignment, and to allow for the full cycling of the suspension while offroad.
If I just install a lift kit on my 2017 Ram 1500, will it effect me when I'm towing my 25 ft ultra light Travel trailer as far as tongue weight and keeping my trailer level. I have a weight distribution hitch.
Check out our video about towing with lifted trucks here!
