+Britney West (The derpy unicorn) If Ben is like a boy version of you, then I really don't want to meet you in an apocalypse. I felt sorry for Ben at first, but then I realised over the course of the game that he did nothing to help people... in fact, any attempt to "help" would often make the situation worse. He caused Katjaa and Duck's death, he basically sat around feeling sorry for himself all day, he ran away and left Clem behind when they needed help (and technically caused Chuck's heroic sacrifice), and he caused the school to be overrun by taking the axe from the door... hell, the only time he appears to try and fight is when he uses said axe to nearly attack Molly and Lee... Sorry, I didn't mean to rant but Ben was a god-awful excuse of a survivor.
Ben warned everybody you don't need a bite to turn. If they hadn't had known that, Larry certainly would've reanimated and killed them all. He was at least somewhat useful. Don't be that hard on him.
Ben might not use his head alot, and.. tbh, i'm kinda like him, and no, i'm saying that just to be a character. ._. I'm serious, i might fuck things up too like he did. So.. For some reasons, i really can't get myself to hate that boy.

But all that mess get over his head and that make him untrustable, first time with larry at drugstore, I was sided with him but I changed when he kill larry directly at the St.John, and more again when he just wanted to let this poor women getting eat while we escaped, he has no mercy for others but Kat's and Duck's death changed him, anyway nobody deserve this. I think I'm gonna trust him again, he seems more indulgent at ep3's ending. it's a good guy.
Right, because you can think about this long and hard in a zombie apocalypse. Because you can easily plan it out. No, he was not an idiot. Did he make some idiotic choices? Yes, I won't deny that. But Ben was eighteen years old, and honestly, what eighteen year old always makes the best choices? Everyone judges Ben too harshly and they forget that he's just like them.
I was really proud of myself when I was able to talk Kenny down and help him accept the truth rather than picking a fight with him on the train. In my playthrough I didn't do a lot of stuff that would have put Lee in Kenny's good graces at that point (trying to save Larry, not taking the stuff in the station wagon, shooting the woman outside of the drugstore to make sure she didn't suffer,...) but I knew he needed someone to talk him through the guilt of what happened to Shawn Green and Duck's impending death. I always tried to take the more moral approach in the game, and while that didn't always endear Lee to him, it warmed my heart a little in Season 2 when Kenny said that he didn't see Lee eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but he still considered him a friend for all Lee did for Kenny's family.
When deciding how and actually "taking care" of Duck could bring a room full of grown men to tears. I had to pause the game after "taking care" of Duck and sit in my chair for over an hour just staring at the pause menu before continuing.
"Ben fan girl"? No, I'm just a person who believes in second chances, forgiveness, and not killing somebody just because they screw up. Yes, it cost the lives of Carley/Doug, Katjaa, and Duck, but killing him was extreme. Even Clementine forgave him for leaving her, because honestly, I know that 2/3 of the people who claim that they wouldn't have left Clementine actually would have.
Vanessa Franzen well um lets see we got a guy with a roblox profile, me with a crappy name, and a guy with a cringey sans profile posting WHO LIKES GHASTER BLOOSTERRR in a totally not undertale vid by luigi kid.
Amazing game. I remember this moment soo weell... This is Kenny theme song if you ask me. Reflects his personality perfectly. Great guy, protective too bad his destiny was one of the worst of them all. I always understood him when he was doing crazy things just to protect his wife and kid. It was really strange sometimes but he was a good man. And after the tragedy with his family I always understood what he did. I just talked to him in the train I could not chock him. He did no wrong. RIP Kenny
He did it to protect the group, the bandits already knew where they were. Lilly was acting as if they were an entire army, when they're not they're three kids, one pacifist, and about 4 gun hands. If Ben hadn't dealt with them, they all would've been killed a long time ago.
how do u like Ben the most when we have other amazing characters such as Lee, Kenny, Carley, Doug, and Clementine? o and weather ppl like Kenny or not, he is amazing if u side with him in the end.
I know getting Kenny to stop the train peacefully is the best option, but letting him kick the shit out of you and then weakly telling him to stop the train is so much more dramatic
Well by your logic, that would also mean that if it wasn't for Larry and Lilly then Kenny, Katjaa, Duck, Clementine, and Lee would've died outside of the drug store. Reason being was even though they didn't try to save them, they did set up the group that was already in the drug store that did save them, and also set up defenses so they weren't immediately overrun.
I really want to hear the OST version of the "command room" in Episode 4. It's the room where they make all the plans to get all the items, gas, battery, etc for the boat. It's a classroom I believe. I love that song and I really wish someone would upload it :(
Some people just saw immediatly RED, but not many thinks that Ben's action may have killed a lot of people, he saved a lot of people too. So theres really no reason to hold a grudge against him tbh. I'm sure a lot of people opened up when he was about to fall off from the tower! :P
Ben was just a lost kid. After Kenny he had the worst destiny. The tragic thing is he died with that wish of proving he was not useless. It was the only thing he wanted since episode 3 when Lily/Doug died "because of him" even though I also understood him with that because he was just trying to help. If he was not giving supplies to bandits they were attacking earlier and was even worse. And that Kenny died with him after all the hating...well that was really sad and emotional. Amazing game!
ur right, if he hadnt been giving them supplies the bandits would have attacked much earile be4 the rv was working, causing most, if not everybody to die.
I reasoned with him. But looking back on it, I think Kenny needed some catharsis, maybe it wasn't so much about 'beating sense into him' as it was just letting him take out all those pent up emotions on someone who could take it.
Larry and Lilly being alive caused most of the characters to die. Doug because they needed to get the pills and set of the alarm. Mark because Lilly didn't wan't to leave so that they could stay close to the drug store, but they had no food, so they needed to go to the dairy where Mark got shot in the back, got his legs chopped off, and died of blood loss. Carley because Lilly shot of false acusation. Duck because he got bitten and turned. Katjaa commited suicide because Duck was going to turn.
I totally agree with you. I wanted to reason with Kenny, but instead I had to knock some sense into him. I know I wouldn't do that to someone during a Zombie Apocalypse.
You have to pick the" This isn't about duck" option. instead of" Stop. The. Train" and " Youre in denial!" then after that i picked " You didn't kill hershel's son". im sure there is another way to talk sense into him but thats how i did it.
I still get really happy at how people thought the game was gonna suck so bad. And now here we are looking at one of the best zombie games, if not GAMES ever made.
Actually it isn't "You didn't kill hershel's son", it is "You think you are the reason duck was bitten". Anything you choose after this("You didn't kill hershel's son","Stop thinking about yourself","get over it" or even silence"...") will have him stop the train by himself.
Ya know, convincing him by talking isn't the only other way either. You can physically beat him by just blocking his punches without really choking him(don't tap q, just block those punches) and you'll defensively hold him at bay without hurting him. You can also let yourself get beat up, that'll also make kenny stop the train, man, interesting stuff Telltales have done.
I agree. I didn't think that was how Lee Everett would handle it. He would make Kenny see the truth of what is happening and how the only way to make this right is to take care of Duck as peacefully as he can. The way a parent should in such a situation.
Well Im not just talking about what happened in episode 3, I mean overall throughout the whole journey. Back at the farm, it was good that he looked out for his family, but he also had to be brave and setduck to the side when he got him and help Lee get that tractor off Shawn so they could save him. And back at the locker room, instead of just jumping to killing Larry, just get the salt lick and postion it incase Larry DID turn. Sometimes Kenny needs to just admire and Lee for what he does
True, but in reality and when you cared for a quick-fix for the Bad Walking dead new season: "Survival Instinct", which is Zombies being Brain-dead (Not Referencing a zombie joke, but Artificial Intelligence Literally) and standing there, looking at you, waiting you to kill them. In this, even though i haven't see the actual gameplay, yet. I blindly believe 400 days is quite of the quick-fix, from the mistake of the "Survival Instinct" Game, so that people would try and forgot about it.
Well, there is one problem with what you're trying to say. Daryl is not one of the worst characters of the show. And I'm not even saying that because he's my favorite character or anything. In fact, my favorite is Rick. But you do realize, if Daryl were to die, the shows ratings would drop so fast. Daryl here is actually one of the best characters in the show, alongside Rick.
IT was not about hating him. It was about knocking some sense in him but it was not the moment. His family was in great danger, his KID was bitten by a zombie and sick. He was acting like that because he could not believe what was happening. And also he was regretting everything bad he did. Starting with Hershell farm and ending with Larry. Well ...in that moment he was really stupid and pissed me off.
Ben did actually protect the group whether people likes it or not. The Save-Lots bandits would've invaded far too early if he did not do what he did. While he did not tell anyone I'm sure he wanted to.(In EP4 he could not live with what happened and told Kenny, who was furious for good reasons) I like Ben, he's my favorite character so far and I loved how they developed him during EP4. Most people dislike Ben because a heterosexual pairing sinked to the ground. I like how they killed Carley off.
I don't see how you can blame Lilly for the dairy incident. The vehicle, though able to run, still had many issues, making it dangerous for anyone to leave in it, assuming they could even get it to start. Also, if Lilly and Larry wanted to stay, nobody was MAKING everyone else stay there, the majority ultimately thought that at the time staying put was the best option for good reason.
Your right, he could've saved his family rather than trying to start the car, I mean common that's your family. Don't leave it to some man to try to save them. Get out and help them escape, sacrafice yourself if you have to.
By that logic, Kenny was a danger to the group and should have been killed, right? Because he's had plenty of moments where he's flaked on Lee, and I STILL didn't want anything to happen to him.
Kenny had good intentions, he was convinced to find a boat to better protect the group, but in a world like that nothing is certain. he always wanted to protect the group, he couldn't know that it would turn out so badly
He only flakes if he considers you a danger to his family if you support his ideals he won't ditch you he'll consider you a friend it depends on your choices
Larry would've died instead of Carley or Doug in this scenario, so if your idea played out then it would've been your group's fault for not helping find medicine for the people that took them in. Albeit reluctantly and hostile, they still did.
"Clem, your vote counts, but I'm looking out for -you- with this. I had to let Ben go, he was endangering the group, and more importantly, you, at every turn. I'm sorry, Clem. It's a different world. By no means is it right to kill for vengence, I spared those farm brothers. I let Ben go for safety, for the group, for you. Please understand." [REACH OUT]
not all of them, ive seen a playthrough and some guy got beated the hell up by Kenny. and to be honest it was very easy to avoid the fight, im suprised most ppl hated him enough to fight him.
No, that was the raiders fault. How come everyone jumps at Ben? He actually saved Lee and the group if you see it from another perspective. What happened to Carley/Doug was Lilys fault for snapping. If Ben did not give them supplies they would've raided the camp earlier and killed everyone off in a second, claiming the Motor Inn. So yeah, If Lily wasn't in depression to the point of paranoia we would still have Carley/Doug. It was ineviatable(typo), It was going to happen eventually.
Yep but kids don't survive, look at ep 3 I taught her how to shoot and cut her hair ep 4 she saved ninja babe's life. Li might die so I taught her so if he were to die she'd be in the sequal all bad azz.
I honestly think Kenny believed his son would live; he was not being hypocritical. Desperation is not equal to hypocrisy. Larry was an older man. Duck was just a little boy. World of difference between the relations of the four characters. And truth be told Kenny never believed that his son and wife would die. It seems to me that he actually believed he would always be there to protect them. But in this new Dark Age what we think and believe is never on par with reality.
Ben means good but it all goes bad I brought him along something tells me he'll do right by MI!!! (in game) DAUGHTER!!!! Y - Y wish ninja babe had stayed though...
i agreed with Kenny and helped him kill Larry, seriously fuck Larry. not so much that poor woman in the apartment block in ep.2 (i think) i agreed with Kenny and me and him were fairly solid throughout the game, with only one or two minor excepts that i don't (care to) remember.
I actually like Ben, but you do have a point that he might've helped them. Still, he hurt them by not telling anyone about what was going on. No matter how hard it is to tell the truth, you HAVE to if you're part of a group. How are you supposed to function properly as one trusted entity if you hide valuable information from your allies? You might as well be on your own then worrying the ones you trust will find out your secrets.
Well i think everyone have his point of view and i'm ok with that ;) In fact i was wrong to say this because ther eis probably many people like you who enjoy this character. But as for myself i really really don't like him (not the actor himself but daryl himself). Still this video game caming from nowhere with a few screens and videos who is suppose to be released in few weeks...well that's stange
I felt genuinely bad for him but for the rest of the time he was extremely untrustworthy and it's not fair that two people had to die in order for him to stop being so unreliable. I can sympathize with him but I don't like him at all.
Why is the walking dead a good comics and show? Because it is not focus on action, it is focus on characters. So Activision (in a creative spirit as always) said: fuck that shit. Take the two worst characters of the show, make an FPS with bad graphics, gameplay and story, make it in three months then count money. And you want to know the worst? Despite bad critics this shit will work... You can't judge something you haven't played yet of course but this is the poor status of video games today...
You're just a Ben fan girl who wants to stand up for him. But yes, he was an idiot. Seriously, he took the hatchet off the damn door that was blocking the zombies coming in. Yeah, only an idiot would muster up enough courage to take that off of the door they blocked off.

Letting Ben die in that bell tower was so satisfying.
Yup. There's also going to be a DLC. :D
Please understand."

Yeah well, close enough.
Well... There's the 400 Day version, so that should keep you quiet now. :3
not all of them, ive seen a playthrough and some guy got beated the hell up by Kenny. and to be honest it was very easy to avoid the fight, im suprised most ppl hated him enough to fight him.
Man... If you don't talk it through with Kenny he can totally just whoop your skinny black ass, I'm glad he is on my team.
This might sound wrong but.. I think if Kenny starts behaving more like Lee, then mabey all these bad things might not happen as much.
Well if you choose to save Doug in the begining in episode 3 Lilly tries to shoot ben and doug saves him but Lilly shoots him
He died a hero atleast
I know I was given the option, but I was like HELL NO!
Yep but kids don't survive, look at ep 3 I taught her how to shoot and cut her hair ep 4 she saved ninja babe's life. Li might die so I taught her so if he were to die she'd be in the sequal all bad azz.
Ah I'm sorry, I have appeared to spoiled a little for you then.
(It's out on XBLA but not on PSN I believe.) even in Europe.
How was Lilly even associated with Duck's getting bitten? That was BEN'S fault, not hers.
Ben means good but it all goes bad I brought him along something tells me he'll do right by MI!!! (in game) DAUGHTER!!!! Y - Y wish ninja babe had stayed though...
late but
OST-09 honest
I didn't fight back. Although, I wanted to beat the hell out of him, I didn't think beating him up would be a good idea.
i...know...i DID convince him, what i said was that people were kinda idiots and just beat the hell up outta him
i agreed with Kenny and helped him kill Larry, seriously fuck Larry. not so much that poor woman in the apartment block in ep.2 (i think)
i agreed with Kenny and me and him were fairly solid throughout the game, with only one or two minor excepts that i don't (care to) remember.
When Lilly shot Carley, that wasn't justified. Whether she ended up shooting Carley or Doug, it still wasn't right. So you get a point there.
um, larry and lilly had nothing to do with duck and kajaa's death
