Hi,
The recipe looks amazing only 3 ingredients 😀. I’m looking to make a lace to make a crown as a topper. Will your recipe make it hard enough to make it stand on top of the cake?
Lovely
Thanks ☺️
Thank you so much
This was fantastic, tasted way better than bought and my cake turned out perfect. It doesn't keep as long, got brittle but was so easy I don't even care.... I'll make more!
You use regular sugar or powder sugar??
@@sliceofdreams2886 Regular sugar

This is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing. Can I make cakes in advance with this decorated sugar lace and put in the freezer like I do buttercream? If so, what a game changer , especially for the holidays! Thanks again
I have the same question!!!
ILOVE it
Thanks
This is great! I was just getting ready to plunk down a bunch of money on premade lace because I didn't know it could be made so easily. Very excited to try this recipe. Me and my wallet are eternally grateful. One quick question, can it be flavored with oil flavorings?
Hi yes you can add flavorings 😊
Can I use tylose powder instead of corn flour
Hii can we reduce the measurement for less quantity
It’s my 3rd attempt and it cracks on me while still fresh in the mold ( no oven ). It’s not dry or brittle. It just cracks about an hour after the second coat. I can’t figure this, any help would be appreciated
This lace cn be decorate in fresh cream....it's it will be effect the cream surface of this lace just cn use for butter cream only...pls advise...
What is the temperature you bake this lace at ????
OMG thanks best video ever and I don't have to buy so many ingredients
You’re welcome 😊
How many moths will it last. I'm so excited to try but want to store it. @@SweetArtOfCake
Really awesome!! Will surely try...how long can u preserve these laces and does it require refrigeration? Pls reply
Hi... They dry out if refrigerated.. Store in a dry place after putting in that plastic
Thank you so much for sharing Very ezy More baking want 👌🙏
Can you make them in advance and save them for another time? If so, how do you store them? And for how long?
After making batch of this lace n store in Fridge again we have to warm n spread on mat kya
Vipula Jain yes you need to warm it. You can place it in the microwave for 10 seconds then mix.
The lowest my oven goes is 170 degrees F. Can I still make this??
Super thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Good evening to you. I'm so extremely grateful to find this, lace fondant costs so so much to buy. Have you tried flavouring the lace mixture? It looks so amazing, I can't wait to try it.
Dear Sweet Art Of Cake, how does it taste like?
Omg!! I think this might just be a complete game-changer!! Thank u so much for sharing!!xx
You’re very welcome 😊
@@SweetArtOfCake Just wanted 2 give u a quick update! I tried this recipe a couple days ago & OMG!! It worked AMAZINGLY! The only difference I did was baking it? I have no luck with that unfortunately! But I had more than enough time to let it "air-dry" overnight instead. I did this over 2 nites with reapplying the mixture again 4 strength. I've used "proper" cake lace mixture before & cudnt get the rite "feel" of it at all? Just wasn't what I wanted. This recipe turned out PERFECTLY!! (And my hubby's happier that it's sooo much cheaper too!😁Lol!) It is more superior in flexibility & texture with the rite amount of elasticity. And it tastes better! Plus, I know EXACTLY what's going in it too. I honestly cannot thank you enough! I'm making a VERY special cake as a surprise & it's going to look fabulous now I've found this! U have a VERY happy subscriber! Many, MANY thanks..
Kel..xxx
You’re very welcome. Im very glad to know it worked amazing. Yes I preferred this recipe as well compare to store bought which is expensive. Thank you for you wonderful feedback 😊
Did u gt it ryt?...i tried dis recipe thrice and did not gt it ryt..nw m trying it fr d 4th tym .....
@@meeraahmed4437 Hi there! I got it rite 1st time! Followed the instructions completely all the way. It came out brilliantly! The only thing I didn't do was 2 "bake" it. I left the mat/lace out 2 dry overnight. That worked so much better 4 me!😉
Ps: I did try to "bake" the lace, but here in the UK, my oven unfortunately doesn't go down low enough to the recommended temperature? I DID try it..but my lace came out brittle & broke! Hence why I preferred to dry the lace overnight. You'd definitely need to do 2 "coats" though to give it more "strength" - as directed from @Sweet Art Of Cake. So I did it once, left it out on the counter overnight, then applied another "coat" straight on top of the one I'd dried & left it out overnight again. Come morning, the lace was absolutely perfect - strength, flexibility, elasticity, etc & it came out of the mat like a dream! (Altho I did do it slowly & gently! But the mat I used had a very delicate, finely detailed pattern, so..?!) It's been an absolute Godsend for me! It's ridiculously cheaper, it's more superior quality & it tastes better than the expensive cake lace mixes! AND the bonus is, you know EXACTLY wots going into it! I can't ever thank @Sweet Art Of Cake enough for this! Good luck & kindest regards..
Kelly..xx
Thank you so much for sharing this!!! If you make a batch of this, can the paste be saved for future use? Or does it all have to be used? Also, how much does this make?
STEPHANIE GORRE-NDIAYE you’re welcome! Yes you can make a batch, place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to two weeks. You can make a lot of lace on this amount of this recipe.
When apply to cake, should I use water or corn syrup first on the cake before applying? So they can stick to the cake?
Hi yes brush a little bit if water onto the cake before applying it
Which mode
Please is there any specific color I can use or the normal fondant color?
Hi, use gel color the same for fondant
Thank you
You’re welcome ☺️
Grazie mille!!!
Absolutely amazing Can i use it on whipped cream cake
Actually tylose powder gives elasticity, glyserin maintains moisture in the lace and increses shelf life try after adding a little these two ingredients to your paste the problem will be solved
but store in the fridge or outside the fridge please reply
Mine turned clear and like gelatin. Then it would not spread. Did I overcook it?
how long can it be stored?
Can we store this ??? If yes then for how much tym??
You use normal regular sugar or powder sugar?? Please rply me i really wanted to try this out please rply
Looks like granulated (normal) not powdered sugar
Beauti
Beautiful
Do we have to use warm mixture on mat or to use after room temperature pls reply soon.
Vipula Jain you can use it straight away, warm or not 🙂
Ok thank u so much!
Vipula Jain you’re welcome 🙂

Lace mould???
So I followed ur directions to the letter. And I let it cool first before applying it to my mat and when I opened it to use it it was an almost solid form. I tried to stir it up and it’s like a gelatinous mess. What did I do wrong?
Hi, sometimes it depends to the flour/starch you use. Maybe you should try to reheat it and add more water.
U r love
Thanks alot for sharing
You’re welcome dear
how many sugar and cornstarch
Can i use cornflour insted
Yes it is the same with cornstarch ☺️
50 F degrees in oven?
What time it will take for air dry?
Overnight dear
Please suggest Temprature of oven& timings.(
You are writing 50 degrees Farenheit, that is 10 degrees Celsius. Is that correct?
Agar icing sugar nhi ho to kya use kr sakte hai. And corn starch ke jagah corn flour use kr sakte hai kya
Wow that's awesome 👏

Vipula Jain Im not sure how to reuse it after it break.
What are these ingredients in ml please? I don't have a scale.
2 TBSP cornstarch, 1 & 1/4 C Water, 1/2 C granulated sugar
If you left it sundried will it work?
Im not sure dear
Hello, can you write the recipe please?
I tried this recipe, but the paste shrunk a lot in the silicone mold after it dried. Unfortunately a lot of details were no longer visible.
I don’t have oven 50F what I must do
Maria Shah you can leave it on the countertop to air dry 🙂

Hi I would love to see it. You can post it to my Anna K facebook page 😊
What are the measurements
Please watch the video for the measurements and procedure. Thanks
50* F can't be right. That's colder than my house! Celcius must be meant, i.e., 122 * Fahrenheit.
Hi yes you’re right its Celcius not F, sorry about that
Corn starch mean corn flour

50 degrees? I guess you need a fancy oven for that. Even my dehydrator starts at like 90 degrees.
It’s my 3rd attempt and it cracks on me while still fresh in the mold ( no oven ). It’s not dry or brittle. It just cracks about an hour after the second coat. I can’t figure this, any help would be appreciated
It may need the oven step
