Miss this game. I would play this all the time after school. I remember many of the custom maps... mods... trick jumping... Most people would usually play on only one or two servers so you'd typically play with the same people too. Most of that is lost in games these days. Good times... getting a little sad thinking about it.

An absolute classic. I want a new release of this game, same gameplay, same maps, just updated graphics. None of that quake wars rubbish. I love BF3 because it reminds me of this game!

its not dead sure, i downloaded it a few days ago but i cant find any server thats isnt full of bots instead of people...? :( can you halp me maybe plz?? what software do you use to find your servers then??
@defenderDX9er I know, i'm doing well without it. but there aren't many servers anymore without that feature. And if i find one the other settings like weapons, maps etc aren't good.

Honestly this game was Awesome. Back in the days used to spend over 5 hours playin this game. The best thing was we used to get the same people coming into the servers. Personally i played in the WAR servers. The matches were so intense , you really needed to work as a team to win the battle. Shame gaming industry who make millions dont make a game similiar to this one , where team work is encoraged and not one shot and your dead rubbish thats out these days. Enemy territory RULED!
In terms of gameplay even nowadays games can surpass RTCW ET, and you have to pay to play them. This game was free yet its better than all these "polished" AAA games. IMO its far more than "a great game to pass time". I spent full nights playing this when I was a teenager.

I would love to play it again, but with my HD 7950 I only get 20-30 fps, independent of my graphics settings
Perhaps you have vsync on or something? Pretty much any graphic card should be able to handle this game. Check for upates
