Hi,
ET community is still alive and a lot of players are daily on Fearless-Assassins servers. This clan gets something like 8 or 10 differents servers : jaymod, etpro, silent and no quarter. Google it, you'll be surprised maybe.

There are too many different variables for accuracy in some of these older games. It's not Quake3. The best players would consistently be at 50-60% accuracy, and that's just how it was. If you were that good you learned how to place your aim to maximize headshots/hits in general.

Impossible to compare. The hardware and mouse were really different. Also there wasn't youtube etc.. The information how to play was actually scarce.

This game is 100% human skill and 0% game help.. there's no accuracy help or anything like that, besides this game is a very high pace game compared to nowadays games. A very good player only achieves a 45 to 50% accuracy rate because you still need to be really good at movement and it's very hard to balance movement and accuracy with a 50%+ accuracy rate, not impossible but extremely hard. Also the mod they are playing in the video is called ETPro which is a kind of raw server with very little server tweaks which slows down the pace so it kinda throws off your game style entirely cuz most players participating on ETpro servers play silent mode more regularly which speeds up movement and that alone impacts enormously your game style.
