Alina makes me believe. I fall for Giselle even knowing what comes next. Alina is a fine actor. There is much dance-gestures-are-mime here.
The "absolute" Giselle... Alina=perfection
Again a role in which she excels with charming use of head and upperbody and arms ..Presentation. and characterisation perfect. Effortless super technique. She dances with every part of her body .
Wow Alina's acting is spot on and love the little gestures where he keeps offering his hand and then playfully snatching it away. He does care but she's a lot more invested. A sign of what's to come.... 😔

I love Manuel Legris - he has perfect chemistry with Ms Cojocaru. You believe that they love each other. I also love the soft tapping of the shoes on stage. I would LOVE to see this performance in its entirety.

This performance was in the summer of 2006, which means that Legris was 41 years old at the time. (He was born in Oct. 10, 1964)

Is there a full lengthrecording of this performance? Would be great to see more of these two stunning dancers!
I don't know of a full length recording of this particular performance, but there is a DVD of her with Kobberg (her significant other) available on Amazon.
I also wonder if the ballerina dancing as Bathilde ever wears some trousers for her outdoor duties and some dresses for her indoor duties.
