Hi, this was in 2007 the last time Julio Bocca danced, so he finished his carrier by dancing for free to all of us Argentinian people win company of best dancers in the world in Avnia 9 de Julio, the most popular avenue in Buenos Aires. Over 200.000 people attended to this magnificent show, in my opinion after being there i can tell you it was unforgettable!!!! If you want to see one of my favourites acts, i recommend you to see...
Wonderful phrasing, huge attack on both parts -- he's truly thrilling, and she's beyond anything -- such a tiny person eating upt hte stage like that. Amazing what they pull out of htemselves, and for each other. Wonderful connection between the two of them. Thank you for posting this
This is an AMAZING performance, even more so as I've never seen Alina Cojocaru as Odette/Odile. She embodies it all - brilliance yet never hard or brittle.
Beautiful graceful swan arm movements by this ballerina-she is fluid and technically pure-I love this performance-don't agree with comments below-thanks for sharing-
Gorgeous Ballerina! Pirouette turns and lines remind me of S. Guillem (save for the blooper😬@ 7:31-7:33 a clean single suffices there to avoid that type of moment...it's a gamble tho cause Alina C. is obvi FEARLESS). The conductor must've needed an immediate bathroom BREAK??!!! He is HAULING *SS musically. I've NEVER heard it played with that much urgency!!! Professionals HERE INDEED to keep up!!! Bravo Julio B.!!! Thank YOU for your inspiration!👏👏👏🙌
Soooo much better than any of the Russian versions I've watched recently. Alina is both quick and precise, making her performance so much more exciting! I swear there were twice as many moves in the performance as well. It's going to be rough watching any more of the other ones now, so boring...
i was reading some newspaper stories about this night and none of them mentioned alina, but rather the LA times said it was Nina Ananiashvili. personally i thought something looked "off" in alina's dancing. some uncharacterisic stumbles even. i suppose we could ask alina!
I like about Alina what I liked about Makarova---itty bitty ballerinas dancing BIG. Bocca looks like he's working really hard on the variation, but that was a gorgeous coda. Any info on the venue and company?

Alina Cojocaru is a graceful, delicate dancer and she can be exquisite with the right part as "Giselle" or "Onéguine". However she lacks that "dark" side in her personality which is essential in ballets like "Swan Lake" (she is not a convincing black swan at all) or "Manon" by MacMillan to name just a few.
Maybe her interpretation of Odile is supposed to be closer to Odette's personality to deceive the Prince. Odette was so timid and shy to begin with, it does seem strange that she would suddenly change into a passionate, manipulative seductress over night. It's all about interpretation. BTW, Alina executes the choreography perfectly.
Look at the choreography. Odette is flustered, timid, and afraid of the Prince in the beginning, and then in the end she dies of a broken heart. Not exactly a strong, aggressive heroine is she? Odile's choreography is more aggressive and seductive. They're very different. So what am I "confunding"?
Wonderful Black Swan Pas de deux danced by these true great dancers 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌺💖🌹
The character is totally captured in her line, her attack, her port de bras, and epaulement! Well done!

What an excellent interpretation of Swan Lake by English artists! What a wonderful performance by Alina and Julio!
Julio is Argentinian, Alina is Rumainian

Julio Bocca one of the most sexiest and talented dramatic dancers ever electric!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful phrasing, huge attack on both parts -- he's truly thrilling, and she's beyond anything -- such a tiny person eating upt hte stage like that. Amazing what they pull out of htemselves, and for each other. Wonderful connection between the two of them. Thank you for posting this
Julio Bocca is incredible!!!
She's sensational!
Soberbia interpretacion. No me canso de verla.
Amazing artists! Thank you.
Bye bye from stage ( quite too late) sweet marvelous dancers. Never from our heart. All the best.

AMAZING !!!
Alina is probably my favorite dancer right now! She's amazing! She's perfect in Giselle especially!!!!
Best musicality EVER!
maravillosos!!!!!!!

Las dancers, se gustan entre ellas.
¿sabes qué edad tiene?
increible Julio , El mejor and Only..uno de los tres mejores de la historia...
But the way she is so cute after foutte ..where she put the arms :)) like don quixote :)) he ehe ...Love you Alinaaaaaaa....
I love tiny ballerinas. Alina, Maria Kochetkova, Gelsey Kirkland. They seem to really float in a way that the taller ballerinas do not.
Svetlana Zakharova is beautiful, but Alina Cojocaru is wonderful: it' seems like she comes from another planet.
I agree 100%! It's a brilliant interpretation as well as a logical one. =D
Alina, I think that you are a great Odile, no matter what the people are saying! And the reaction of the public confirms my opinion.
That was lovely & very appreciative audience!
beautiful extensions !

her quality of movement is astounding and he is an excellent confidence boosting partner...
BUENISIMO
Where was this? What company? Buenos Aires? THe audience sure seems to be behind him? WONDERFUL!
alina is hot, hot, hot. really superb!
The scene where she pretends to be Odette is very impressive, she manages to make it look like she is tring to fool him. Very difficult to pull off!
Nuria, do you have the second act PDD and the finale to post?? Always thanking you for the great vids you post!!
4:59 - all I can do is cry !
Where and when was this?? Teatro Colon?
I somehow feel Alina Cojocaru is better at black swan than white swan!
its a metaphor, black or white is inside in her soul, nor outside in her feathers
Which year is this? before the Royal Opera House?
Does anyone know the name of this DVD?

Of course she dances beautifully but where is the soul of mesmeric Maya ......
What do they mean by "last performance"? Anyone know?
he retired that night. huge celebration.
a little fast mr conductor?
The tape is garbled.
How old is Boca here?
39 o 40.

Why is his hair so weird here though ?
Alina, why you put your hands on your hips?

I think you are confunding the original story and the Barbie Swan Lake story.
Alina Cojocaru is a graceful, delicate dancer and she can be exquisite with the right part as "Giselle" or "Onéguine". However she lacks that "dark" side in her personality which is essential in ballets like "Swan Lake" (she is not a convincing black swan at all) or "Manon" by MacMillan to name just a few.
you havent seen svetlana!

Leave it up to a man to not see the difference between a white swan and a black swan, like wtf.
poor video quality, too bad.
The black swan is a little to sugary, I ve seen her do way better
Eww.. well.. it is not so good dancing in my eyes, frankly. I bet she is more than just she is in this video, though.
Yeah, maybe I should. And, if you are not a principal, don't say anything to my lessons.
Look at the choreography. Odette is flustered, timid, and afraid of the Prince in the beginning, and then in the end she dies of a broken heart. Not exactly a strong, aggressive heroine is she? Odile's choreography is more aggressive and seductive. They're very different. So what am I "confunding"?
mmm.. i don't like her very much.. however amazing!
