It proves that Chinese people are not vengeful. For all the massacres that the Japanese inflicted onto China, the Chinese have every reason to be angry. While there is no doubt that China is mindful of her sovereignty and the people are sensitive towards the past wars and humiliation but these does not really got into the way of normal human interchanges in terms of education and cultural exchanges. Even intermarriage. I hope this will be the future scene for the current middle East conflicts.

1st and foremost, it would be better for Japan to persuade America to gradually move out from Japan. Once that's happens both sides will have less tensions and etc. Last, but not least, Japan should gradually rein in their 'denial tendencies'.

It is worth mentioning that a few thousands of these people returned to japan since the 70’s, strangely, they faced unfamiliar discrimination the first time and little or no social assistance for life adjustment. Here, one of the ladies’ subtly revealed her silent pain. Cruel and cold, even to their own nationals, isn’t it ? With Chinese global media, the world gradually has a better understanding of this gruesome inhuman invasion is all about.

@@gauravtejpal8901 The number of innocent deaths is nowhere near that of the Holocaust but it would not be far-fetched to say that the depravity with which the Japanese military tortured and mutilated their Chinese victims before massacring them is definitely far more inhumane than that of the Holocaust. For those in the Japanese military who committed such unspeakable acts wilfully, nobody and nothing in the world can salvage their souls; I'm grateful I'm not them or their families and descendants.

This is exactly why Japanese are not treating Chinese people as inferior to them by national blood as you assume don't you get it ? It's their job to kill brutally for their army's commitment. Which is to serve the emperor. That's all . There is no selective japanese mentality on national bloodpride as long it's serves the emperor as a job. Which is the main goal of the army as an organization.
. You don't understand japanese culture and society.
Japanese culture it's not about worshipping child and family as confucianist spirit and then always worship the national state.
It's mostly about belonging to community and societys spirit to work and serve for a communitys purpose. The nation is also important to them but upmost importantly is their each loyalty to a community, that some communities serves that backward imperial army and some directly the nation, because that's the communitys job.
the Japanese settlers are again a company community.
When a community or division abandons people or you lost their society, they feel hopeless and no value. Many commited suicide as there is no future for them left in their eyes.
This is contrast to chinese culture where family is everything and if family abandons you , thats unspeakable for a childs value. Losing a child, because of the war also led to many chinese mothers , fathers suicide in china.
But some Japanese settlers did not , and instead left their children hope they at least to give believe a secure society is what their children belong to grow up with to work and to flourish , while the chinese orphanages believe they needed a family of who still are willing to have a child who lost their own children . Even if would be a japanese one.
This is a massive culture difference and coincidence of misunderstanding leading to these war orphans being not accepted in japan because they know: you are not raised up in our communities , you wont fit in that community even if you are japanese family blooded. Its not working to their way of harmony and loyalty .
To them as Japanese , You belong in the community where you are grown into , which is that chinese orphanage. Despite being Japanese.
And Chinese orphan families would really wish them to stay as part of a chinese family, despite being japanese blooded.
You keep thinking they must be obsessed with being Japanese or not being Chinese , you are wrong.
They are of course japanese who obsess about Japan in their lives because it's simply their own communitys job.

Well, they probably thought they have a better chance to survive. War is usually between governments. The common people of most countries don't want war and don't see each other as enemies. During WWII, some common Japanese people saved American soldiers. In Afghan war, some Afghan on other side also save and protected American lives. If the parents took them, there is a greater chance they would all be killed by Chinese soldiers. Even some soldiers don't see each other as enemies but they are told to do what their government tell them to do.
