    WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
In this easy sewing tutorial for beginners I’ll show you three easy sewing projects for beginners. All three are great for learning how to sew and how to use a sewing machine because they have very simple techniques that will be used in a lot of other projects too. For the DIY hair barrette, I show you how to make a fabric yoyo, how to sew on a button, and how to add a bobby pin or barrette to make it into a flower headpiece. For the DIY headband, I show you all the steps of how to sew a headband, including how big to cut out the fabric, how to sew a headband together, how to turn it right side out, and how to topstitch to finish the project neatly and professionally. For the DIY hair bow, I show you all the steps for how to sew a hair bow including how big to cut out the fabric pieces, how to sew a hair bow together, and how to add a bobby pin to wear it in your hair. There are projects in here that have no sewing machine required and some that use a sewing machine, so you’ll be able to make something whether you have a sewing machine or not!
These are also great scrap busting sewing projects because they require very little material to make and they are fun to match to your existing outfits!

Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoy these fun and easy beginner sewing projects! I think sewers of all skill levels will enjoy this because not only are they great for learning how to sew, they're also great scrapbusting projects you can make to match your outfits. We’ve been planning this for quite sometime since there are so many new sewists out there learning how to make masks during the pandemic, and both LA Finch and I have had requests for other simple sewing projects that anyone could make. I’ve also had requests for projects to use scraps on, so these are great for that as well. Happy sewing & stay safe!
    XO, Monika

All these details you explain are so helpful, the serrated scissors, fraying fabric and buttons with a loop, thing I have yet haven't applied well or mistakes I've made yet haven't understood.😅

The first hair accessory that you demonstrated, we call it, "doily" here in the Philippines. We often stitch them together to make a table cloth. Thank you for the idea that it can also be a pretty hair accesory.

I absolutely LOVE your tutorials, and I was wondering if there was any way you could maybe post more often. If you do decide to do this, it doesn’t need to be a big change, I just love your tutorials!!!! I’m so sorry (like... SO SORRY) if this comes to you as rude.
