Hi, gundam newb here. Can someone explain that to me please? As far as I understand, the Z'gok is a Universal Century mobile suit. How is it in the Cosmic Era too? It's not like I see a Zaku or Kampfer in these parts

What an awesome kit to act as Kira's (and Lacus') final machine. Freedom was always her gift to him, and the last in the line requiring both of them to pilot is poetic, and tbh Super Robot AF.
i just wish the might pack worked more like a mini meteor, or better yet, the falcon from X.

like i said, lacus need to do a spacewalk to go from the pack to the cockpit.
something that could be avoided IS, the cockpit pf the pack when overhead and locked abode the chest like falcon unit does for the DX.
its just something i feel like its a flaw in the design.
Gotta admit when mighty strike freedom was announced I didn't find it very appealing but the movie really won me over on it, it was really dang cool might get this myself.
Rising freedom has grown in me and really just needs a re color to a darker blue for it to look amazing
Still not a fan of it's new wings.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into the design, but it feels like they tried combining Destiny's Wings of Light with the Original Freedom (minus the heavy beam cannons). The articulation and movement of the wings is good, and it looks really fast, but to me it looks kinda hard to use in practice of speed and manuverability given how LARGE said wings are.
For me, it's gotta be able to move direction freely and precisely like the Red Sinanju's flight backpack given how the thrusters are mounted. The same can be said for the 00 Sky Mobius, which takes the Destiny's Wings of Light and makes them smaller and more wieldable in tandem of a Trans-AM.
I dunno. Make no mistake, Big wings are cool and all but in practice, not really good for me.
(Take this as you will, I'm just saying this as a new gunpla builder who's recently gotten into kitbashing/making a custom build for my own suit)

Do you think it's intentional given how love is one of the main point of the movie? Because this movie finally made both Kira and Lacus confessed their feelings and although tragic, Ingrid finally got Orphee's love.
I find it weird that he complained so much about the stickers considering that 1. All of the color correcting ones are for the weapons - like the calibarn which still got gundarium 2. The other sheet is the 3d stickers which he normally doesn’t hate - like the Schwarzette. He never complained about either aspect in the past but suddenly they are demerits for this kit?

i feel like he reviewed the model pretty highly. and while i understand your point, i feel like those were minor aspects that didnt do it any favor. the main reason it wasnt gundarium was the other complains.
if the stickers were really an issue, it would've dropped all the way down to gold tier instead.
The neck joint isn’t a problem if you push the black cover in hard enough.

@@alvinshaw33 I did. The neck piece E1-5 fits onto the grooves of grey collar piece E1-6 and is locked into place by the black cover A-10. The manual even specifies ‘tightly fit A-10 onto E1-6’. You need some tools like a cotton swap to press it into place though since it’s hard to reach with fingertips.
This isn't the first time Mecha has done such a blunder with that neck joint. He did it to HG Chinagguy where he thought the neck joint was loose but actually he didn't attach the head part tightly
The new rg's after the 2.0 would be so lit

I expect those white wing blades as well as the gold ones to be individually movable with the RG of this, not to mention it coming with all the equipment and weapons that it's shown in the movie (Super Dragoon as SFII, and two rail guns) it would probably be a double size box like the RG Hi Nu/Sazabi.
perhaps three pilot figures as well if bandai would still ship those.

Definitely digging the RF backpack on it! Rising Strike Freedom, with lots of similarties to the OG.
The MSF (or SF spec 2) ms has become my favourite Freedom variant too with its balance of sharp and bulky look as well as contrasting colors!
One wasted opportunity on this gunpla is that Bandai did not included the prototype rifle type railguns that Kira used in the final battle. 😅

It's probably gonna be on the SF type 2 version, as on the final scene where Defender pack docked, Kira already lost all of SF's main armaments, heck even the stomach beam gun is slashed.
The handheld railgun is available from Gelgoog Menace and upcoming Infinite Justice II.
Additionally, there are 3rd party brand who will make the railgun for 1/144 and 1/100 size.
The Mighty Strike Freedom follows the Gundam Astray Red Frame in wielding a giant katana made for mobile suits, Lowe from the Junk Guild would be proud👍🏼
It's said to be the weapon meant for the Akatsuki so I'm looking forward to equipping that katana to the RG Akatsuki when it comes!
Mobile Suits with katanas while unusual, isn't a rare in Cosmic Era.

my only disappointment of this kit was that it didn't have a base. can't wait for Infinite Justice Type-2. see you in June.
Man I hope to see a Master Grade Model kit for this new version of the Strike Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed Freedom in the near future because it looks awesome.
It is really amazing how much engineering has gone into the development. The easy way was to reuse the HGCE Strike Freedom, but Bandai did a proper retake with newer model kit tech.
I’ve been trying to get all of Kira’s Gundams form seed lately and have them all except this one and so far it looks pretty cool.
I mean, I gotta be honest. For an HG, that much color separation on the beam rifles is pretty impressive.
28:05 I had the same issue with The original strike freedom, what you do is you take the head off grab a cotton bud, put a little bit of the cotton in to the head, then pop it back (repeat until it’s to your liking) and it should be a little bit more stiff and hold a pose
The SF & IJ Type 2 reminds me of Gundam Wing EW Suits. it was modified after the war. Type 2 looks exactly the same as the original model with few upgrades.
Happy for it to be in Platinum tier!
You gotta love that even after all this time, Bandai STILL hasn't managed to make beam saber blades that don't warp in the box
the Schwarzette with the wings makes it look angelic for some reason.
When you look back at its development, it's like a fallen angel. Being made as a next generation mobile suit without the Gund Arms only for it's development stalled and brought back with the Gund Arms system installed on it.

The golden part inside the wings remind me of those energy packs you see on the Perfect Strike.
Will applying adhesive to the neck joint hinder the forward articulation of the head?
I'm honestly shocked this isn't using the HGUC strike freedom as the base for this kit. No polycaps either, and its backpack is compatible with a majority of existing modern HG? This is neat

This is also the SF Spec II, if you get the old wings from the previous revive release: it becomes the mighty SF when these new wings attach.
Watch that become a p bandai release with a better backpack system (although it was probably fine before)

I find the mighty strike freedom to be the perfected design of the strike freedom, instead of having a large amount of bright blue that doesn't mesh well with the gold, strike usually either had a dull gold to keep the blue stay in focus like the og, or it would have bright gold that just overshadows the blue.
But with the mighty freedom we now have a white as the main color with gold as a really nice secondary color, i find this color scheme a lot more complementing, plus it still has other color to keep the color scheme from being to monotonous with the amount of white.
Is the energy beam shield from the HGCE Strike Freedom compatible on this one?
if you leave your gunpla under sunlight for too long , will the white plastic degrade ? Someone please tell me
I was very worried this would just be a retool of the older hgce strile freedom, and wrote it off as a kit i wouldn't be getting. But seeing how it uses the seed freedom frame, i may actuallly end up grabbing this

Most Netflix services around the world will NOT be able to show Seed Freedom in June. It is only allowed regionally in and around Japan.

ok I definitely feel that if they make a RG or higher of Mighty Strike Freedom it might as well be labeled just type II with the options of having the dragoon pack and the mighty defender pack, cause all this time I was thinking if it was possible to get a dragoon pack for it or if we can just use the HG SF's dragoon pack.....other than that I really love the build and definitely think the liner gave it an extra pop to it. definitely gotta think abot getting some.
The reason it has a bird like feel to the backpack is because it was revealed in the anime that this version of the Strike Freedom it is the first one built with a frame where it has a transformation system similar to the other transforming Gundams of Gundam Seed/Destiny:

Where did you get that idea? The backpack was originally meant for Rising Freedom.
Strike Freedom was never meant to be transforming Mobile Suit.

the Proud Defender is clearly inspired by the O-Riser as both support units unlock a new ability of the Mobile Suit they docked with, also the Mighty Strike Freedom pulling a ZZ Gundam forehead beam cannon.
i just wish the defender worked more like the falcon, in how it attached to the suit. i feel like it would give it a much more fun design. and more importantly, lacus wouldnt need to do a space walk to go from the defender into the freedom.
That kind of support unit docking to form a new MS with additional ability goes way back to Z Gundam where G-Defenser docked with Gundam Mk. II to form Super Gundam.

Dont know if anyone found the solution of the lose head/neck but i found you need to push the cockpit section down to tighten the neck joint and its an easy fix
Can you imagine kitbashing the Gundam Schwartzette with the Mighty Strike Freedom backpack, if it fits perfectly and you can rename it "Gundam Gabriel"!!!

Will hold out for MG or RG with proper part separation and none of those large stickers. I didn't particularly like Mighty Strike Freedom from the movie but it is pretty.
This is the best looking 144 SF. It's not as busy as the RG and not as plain as the HGCE. It's just right in the middle of the two and it's perfect imo. Probably will get the Spec II as well once it comes out and pose them together.

When msf appear in the movie, i thought, do the gold wings detach the ones that look like dragoons, but after seeing the pieces, im a little disappointed but can live with it overall looks great.
If anything this Freedom has anti remote weapons. It's like psycho wave jammer or psychoshard generator but with more destructive capability.

I bought the kit from hlj a month ago and my order has yet to be fulfilled, what happened? did they order a small amount from bandai? Or something else is happening? I notice they only have like 10 kits in stock.
Happens a lot with HLJ with bandai kits. A month ago was too late. Have to order the instant they go up for preorder. They don't close the preorders so if you order too late you end up in a backorder waiting list in line until they finally get more stock. Happens a lot of with 30 minute sisters as well. I don't think i've ever managed to get one on HLJ that doesn't immediately go into backorder.
I'm pretty sure they gonna make RG of this one. Gonna wait for that.

From what I can tell it'll streaming on Netflix only in Japan. So just like Minus One, us in the states get the shaft again. At least until the physical release of it. Hopefully later this year.

Because they also changed how the beam rifles are stored, the only reason the original Strike Freedom had that feature was because they would move in order for the beam rifles to be stored there but with the Mighty Strike Freedom they mount to the sides of the railguns where the beam saber mounts used to be and the beam sabers now are stored on top of the railguns like with the original Freedom.
In universe lore, it's for practicality. It saves more time and you can use them while using another weapon and the beam rifles are stored.
It looks like build fight freedom . Look forward for the Bandai new release 3.0 of Freedom and Strike Freedom in this new frame system.
Since the Proud Defender is originally for the Rising Freedom, can you try attaching it?
