    Is this strategy still the gold standard?
    I've heard the following being suggested:
    1. Move: forest worker to village, tundra worker to forest.
    2. Trade: 1 metal, 1 wood.
    3. Produce (1 worker, 1 wood)
    4. Trade: 2 metal.
    5. Produce (2 worker, 1 wood); Deploy: Speed on village.
    6. Move 3 workers from village to mountain, get encounter, build Mill on forest

      This strategy is still relevant yes. There are some build strategies similar to what you are describing. I’m not familiar with that one specifically. They take a little risk out of the equation and can be a good option as well.

    What do you suggest for dealing with a Saxony player if the decide to pick on you for lack of combat cards?

    It’s great but I have a problem with this strat: how am I gonna get 2 combat stars without power? Or at least a bunch of cards?

    • @FOMOF
      @FOMOF  Před 4 lety +4

      If you are able to Enlist you are going to get 2 power and 2 cards off the enlists plus the upgrades and enlists from your neighbors. That’s why enlisting is so much stronger then building. You have to be opportunistic, pick on weak players, and bluff when you can. Also, don’t forget Artillery can be really powerful against opponents with lower power. A lot of things have to go right, but with such a weak combo you have to swing for the fences to have a chance.

    Hey, really nice. The 65% is valid when playing with the 18 factory cards, that is, including the 6 promo cards of which #18 is also an enlist. But I can't find where it is said that the digital edition uses the promo deck... / When using the 12 cards deck with 2 enlists, guess what, the stats are just ever so slightly better... 68%

    • @FOMOF

      The digital edition has an option to use promo cards. The default is yes and something like 95-99% of the time no one changes it.

    So how do you combat this as the Albion player?

    • @ryanjallen23
      @ryanjallen23 Před 4 lety +2

      You spend the entire game punishing the Nordic player. You will both lose. RusViet will win. Eventually, Nordic players will stop handing the game to RusViet.

      @@ryanjallen23 so are you saying that the table needs to work together to balance out Rusviet?
      All while keeping a close eye on that Crimea player...bwahhh. And don't underestimate that Albion player, those flags count at the end of the game!
