The Phil is the worlds oldest student society, founded in 1683 in Trinity College Dublin. Though famed for its Thursday night debates, the Phil regularly invites speakers and guests to address the society.
On Thursday the 26th September 2019, the Bram Stoker Medal of Cultural Achievement was awarded to Pixies by the University Philosophical Society and the Dublin University Music Society. This award was followed by a Q&A.
